officer rank (PBORs)of CAPFs
On the subject issue references are being received from various corners seeking
clarifications on one or the other point whereas the conditions for drawal of House Rent
Allowance (HRA) clearly mentioned in the Swamy"'s Compilation of FRSR-IV besides issue of
broad guidelines by MHA/GOI as well as by this Dte from time to time. But in spite of rules and
instructions already in existence, cases are being referred to this Dte frequently for clarification.
2. However, points received from lowèr formations were examined and it is
reiterated in the subject matter that GOI/MHA vide its OM dated 31/07/2017 has sanctioned
provision of compensation for housing to PBORs of CAPFs, who are not provided with rent free
accommodation or sanctioned HRA in accordance with MoF OM dated 7/07/19, as under:

3. After examination of the queries receivcd from lower formation, it is clarilied that
GOUMHA vide its ibid OM dated 31/07/2017 has fixed following terms and conditions for
sanctioning of compensation for housing to PBORs:-
