1. What’s the weather like in your hometown throughout
the year?
In my hometown, we experience a variety of weather conditions
throughout the year. Summers can be quite harsh with sweltering
heat, while winters are chilly with overcast skies and the occasional
inclement weather. Spring is my favorite season, as the mild
temperatures and blooming flowers create a pleasant atmosphere.
2. Do you prefer hot weather or cold weather? Why?
I prefer cold weather over hot weather. The chilly mornings
during winter are refreshing, and I enjoy bundling up in
warm clothes. On the other hand, I find sweltering heat
difficult to handle, as it can be exhausting and uncomfortable
without proper cooling.
3. How does the weather affect your daily routine?
The weather has a big impact on my daily routine. On a
breezy day, I enjoy going for a walk in the park. However,
during a heavy downpour or when it's overcast, I tend to stay
indoors and focus on reading or indoor activities.
4. What do you usually do when it rains?
When it rains, especially if it's drizzly or there’s a heavy
downpour, I like to stay indoors. It’s a great time to relax
with a cup of tea and read a book. If it’s a light drizzle, I
might go out for a walk and enjoy the fresh, wet air.
5. Have you ever experienced extreme weather, such as
a heatwave or a snowstorm?
Yes, I’ve experienced a heatwave where the temperatures
were scorching. It was so hot that staying indoors with air
conditioning was the only option. The streets were nearly
empty, and it felt like the entire city slowed down due to the
sweltering heat.
6. How has the climate in your country changed over
the past few years?
Over the past few years, the climate in my country has
become more unpredictable. We now experience more gusty
winds and sudden deluges of rain, leading to unexpected
flooding. Summers have also become longer and hotter, with
more frequent scorching temperatures.
7. What kind of weather is most suitable for outdoor
activities, in your opinion?
I think mild temperatures with a breezy atmosphere are
perfect for outdoor activities like hiking or picnics. The
weather should be warm but not too hot, and a slight breeze
makes it more enjoyable.
8. Do you think people’s moods are affected by the
weather? How?
Yes, I believe the weather has a significant impact on people’s
moods. Sun-drenched days tend to make people feel more
energetic and positive, while dreary or overcast days can
make some feel more tired or melancholic. Personally, I feel
more motivated when the weather is clear and balmy.
9. How do you prepare for bad weather, such as heavy
rain or storms?
Before heavy rain or storms, especially when there are
forecasts of gusty winds or a deluge, I make sure to have
everything I need at home—food, water, and emergency
supplies. I also stay updated on weather alerts and avoid
going outside unless necessary.
10. What steps do you think people can take to adapt to
climate change?
To adapt to climate change, people need to be more prepared
for extreme weather conditions, such as inclement weather
and scorching heatwaves. This could involve better
infrastructure, improved emergency planning, and making
sustainable lifestyle choices to reduce their carbon footprint.
