Schuyi Wang is a rising star in the classical music world, renowned for her extraordinary accomplishments as a
pianist. At the age of 16, she became the only Chinese nalist to win the First Prize in Anton Rubinstein
International Piano Competition in Düsseldorf, Germany. Since then, she has amassed over 30 awards in both
national and international piano competitions, many of which are recognized by prestigious organizations such
as the Argerich Foundation (AAF), European Union of Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY), and the World
Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC).
In the past year alone, Schuyi has claimed top prizes in several renowned competitions, including the Grand Prix
at the Carles So a International Piano Competition in Spain, First Prize at the WPTA International Piano
Competition in Spain, and special award at the Vladimir Krainev International Piano Competition in
Switzerland. In addition, she signed with KNS Classical and released her debut solo album, *Odyssey*, featuring
Chopin's Études Op. 10 and Schumann's Carnaval. The album launch took place at Yangtze River Concert Hall in
September 2024, receiving extensive media coverage.
Schuyi's album also earned her the prestigious Global Music Award, making her one of the youngest recipients of
this in uential recognition in recent years. This accolade highlights her remarkable contributions to the
international music scene at 20 years old.
Throughout her career, Schuyi has demonstrated outstanding performance skills, achieving rst prizes and special
awards in numerous competitions, such as the Mendelssohn International Piano Competition in Germany,
GOCAA International Piano Competition, Kingsburg International Piano Competition, and the Canadian
Steinway Piano Competition. She has also secured notable awards at the 10th Slobozhanska Fantasia
International Piano Competition in Ukraine, the International Geilenkirchen Piano Competition in Germany,
and second prize at the Villafranca International Piano Competition in Italy.
Schuyi has collaborated with various orchestras, including performances with the Liaoning Symphony Orchestra
with the Northeast University Symphony Orchestra , and with Master Orchestra and also Kyiv Symphony
Orchestra. Her performances have taken her to stages across China, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, and
Switzerland. Schuyi has been invited to record for major events, such as the 60th charity gala hosted by the
renowned Spanish tenor José Carreras, broadcast by MDR in Germany. She was also invited by the Kingsburg
Piano Group to perform at Porsche's Panamera launch event in China, where Musical Instruments China
magazine praised her performance for "creating a magni cent and vivid atmosphere with her exquisite and
captivating piano playing."
Schuyi began her piano studies at the age of ve under Professor Liu Jiatianze at the Shenyang Conservatory of
Music. She later studied with Russian educator Drazdov Yuri Anatolievich. At 14, she entered the Central
Conservatory of Music Middle School, studying under Steinway Artist Professor Wang Chun. Schuyi graduated
with top honors and continued her education at University of Music and Theatre Leipzig with Professor Christian
A. Pohl.
