What is Ras Sudr?
About a two-hour drive away from Cairo, Ras Sudr has become my favorite holiday destination.
It is an Egyptian town located on the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea coast in South Sinai
Governate. The town has a very long beach coastline, where a variety of different hotels are to
be found.
Why visit Ras Sudr?
If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax by the beach and go away for the weekend,
then Ras Sudr is the perfect place for it. Ras Sudr is considered a hidden-gem in Egypt. Unlike
other summer holiday destinations, it not very well-known among Egyptians and tourists. This is
the reason why, Ras Sudr offers a laid-back experience, where you can truly relax and
disconnect from the world. It is less commercialized than places like Sharm El-Sheikh or
Hurghada, but that’s part of its charm! Since it also offers a variety of hotels, you can choose to
stay at a fancy hotel or stay at camps, where you sleep in hut-looking rooms.
How to get there?
Since Ras Sudr is just two hours away from Cairo, you can get there by driving a car or even
taking the bus. However, if you are visiting from abroad, then look for the nearest airport and
book your flight right away!

To book your hotel you can use different websites, depending on which you trust. For me, I use
booking.com to book a place to stay.
