RE: ADMISSION TO THE UNIVERSITY 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR
Following your application and placement to Moi University by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central
Placement Service (KUCCPS), I am pleased to offer you a place in the School of Tourism, Hospitality And
Events MGT to pursue Bachelor of Hotel And Hospitality Management Degree programme as a 1st year
student. Your degree programme takes 4 Academic Years and will be based at the ANNEX CAMPUS.

You are required to report to the University on 26 August 2024 .

This offer is subject to the following conditions:-


1. Production of Original Certificates (KCSE Results Slip/Certificate, National Identification/Birth
Certificate) on the day of registration for verification purposes;
2. Satisfactory verification of your qualifications by the University authorities;
3. Acceptance to pay the required fees and any other costs that may be levied by the University
from time to time;
4. Agreement to adhere to Rules and Regulations Governing the Conduct and Discipline of students
of Moi University – Download the Undergraduate Common Rules and Regulations Documents;
and
5. Acceptance to complete your studies within the stipulated time.

Any information found to be false will automatically lead to your disqualification and expulsion from the
University.

This Cost is inclusive of; Scholarship, Helb Loan and Household.

You are expected and advised to apply for the Government Scholarship, HELB loan and upkeep loan
through the official scholarship and loan application portal (www.hef.co.ke). Based on your categorization
after application for funding, you will be required to clear the outstanding fee balances (Household). Should
you NOT apply for scholarship and HELB loan, you will be required to pay full fee of the programme.

Payment of fee is through the portal (portal.mu.ac.ke). After admission, you will not be allowed to register
for courses and sit for examinations without paying the requisite fees.

Cheques to support your tuition expenses and in favour of the university should be delivered to; The Chief
Finance Officer, P.O. Box 3900 - 30100 Eldoret. (The university does not accept Personal Cheques, Money
Orders, Postal Orders or Cash).

It is a requirement for students to have a computer/laptop/tablet/ipad or smart phone to enable them


access online classes and learning resources. The University sells laptops at competitive rates. For further
details on how to purchase, please visit https://mutechnologies.co.ke.
The University provides accommodation on a first come first served basis. A student who needs
accommodation within the Campus can book and pay online through the student portal available in the
(quick links) at Moi University Website (www.mu.ac.ke).
