1: Title:

 Title: Safety Personnel Deployment Plan for TDI TA025 NAC &
SAC
 Date: - 30.10.2024
 Presenter’s Name: - MIRZA S. BAIG
 Organization: - GACC
 Department: - EHS

2: Introduction
 Overview of TDI TA025:
 Scope of work: - removal and installation of GL Pipping,
vessels towers, exchangers, pressure washing/hydro-jetting
removal of handrail and gratings installation LCG, lifting
operations, Working in the hazardous chemical area such as
sulfuric acid and nitric acid. Confined space entry.
3: Potential hazards associated with work:
 Chemical Exposure: Working with hazardous substances like
sulfuric acid and nitric acid poses significant health risks,
including chemical burns, respiratory issues, and potential
long-term health effects.
 Confined Spaces: Entry into confined spaces presents risks of
entrapment, toxic atmospheres, and limited access for rescue
operations. Proper procedures and monitoring are essential.
 Lifting Operations: Installing and removing heavy GL piping,
vessels, and towers involves lifting operations that carry the
risk of accidents and injuries if not conducted safely.
 Pipelines and Vessels: Ensuring that GL piping and vessels
are properly handled and secured is crucial to prevent leaks,
spills, or catastrophic failures during installation and removal.
 Pressure Washing & Hydro-Jetting: Using high-pressure
equipment requires precautions to prevent recoil injuries,
slipping hazards, and ensuring that the right nozzles and
protective gear are used.
4: General Safety Requirements:
 Hazard Assessment: Conduct a thorough risk assessment for
all planned activities to identify potential hazards associated
with the materials involved, equipment used, and work
environment.
 Safety Training: Ensure all personnel are trained in safe
working practices, particularly those related to hazardous
materials handling, confined space entry, and specific
equipment operation (e.g., lifting operations, pressure
washing).
5: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
 Chemical-resistant PPE: Depending on the chemicals in the
work area (sulfuric acid, nitric acid), provide appropriate PPE,
including:
o Chemical-resistant gloves
o Mono goggles along with face shields
o Chemical-resistant suits
o Chemical resistant boots
 Fall Protection: Utilize harnesses, lanyards, and other fall
protection systems when working at heights or accessing
elevated work areas.
6. Confined Space Entry:
 Permit System: Ensuring confined space entry permit that
includes pre-entry requirements, monitoring procedures, and
emergency response plans.
 Atmospheric Testing: Before entry, conduct atmospheric
testing for oxygen levels, flammable gases, and toxic
substances. Continuous monitoring may be necessary during
occupancy.
 Rescue Plan: ensuring rescue plan specific to confined
spaces, and proper communication with SADARA emergency
team.
7. Equipment Safety:
 Lifting Operations: Adhere to proper lifting protocols,
including the use of certified lifting equipment, load limits, and
clear communication (such as hand signals or radios) among
crew members.
 Pressure Washing / Hydro-jetting: Implement safety
measures such as using appropriate PPE, ensuring equipment
is in good working condition, and conducting proper setup to
prevent accidents or injuries.
8. Objective of the Deployment Plan
 Goals:
o Ensure personnel safety & protection of property during
NAC & SAC TA activities operations.
o Establish clear lines of communication with TA EHS TEAM.
o Optimize the use of personnel resources.

9: Personnel Roles and Responsibilities

 Key Safety Personnel:
o Safety Supervisor: Overall responsibility for safety
oversight.
o Safety Officers: On-ground monitoring and immediate
response.
o In case of Emergency communication with SADARA IRL
o Coordination and information dissemination with TA25
Management team.

10: Deployment Strategy

 Personnel Distribution: 14 safety personnel will be deployed
day and night on the NAC & SAC area including two safety
supervisors
 Shift Patterns: Day shift 1 safety supervisor and 6 safety
officers and night shift 1 safety supervisor and 6 safety
officers.

11: Monitoring and Reporting

 Safety Monitoring: SADARA TA025 Plan will be adhered
during the operation.
 Safety Reporting: all incidents, near misses, safety violation
and observation will be reported to TA EHS team.
 Review: Incidents and observations will be reviewed to
improve health and safety cultures at work.
