Sr PCB Design Project Lead
Role and Responsibilities:
‘Sr PCB Design Project Lead’ reports to ‘Global PCB Design team manager’ and Leads the PCB teams.
Works closely with the Global PCB Team manager in HQ to create the scope of work and analyze
the work efforts. Assign and organize the PCB layout projects, make sure schedules are properly
defined and followed. Evaluates progress and results and recommends changes and improvements
in procedures. Oversees all projects requiring layout, and works with individuals in the team to ensure
schedules are met without compromising quality standards.
Interfaces and interacts with stakeholders within PCB Layout Department as well as cross functional
departments. Identify, monitor and assess/measure any Continuous Improvement task within the layout
teams. Drives Innovation in terms of process and quality within and across functional teams.
Essential Functions:
Will be responsible to lead the layout resources in India and Taiwan branches.
Queued the projects correctly with uninterrupted design cycles and projects are correctly
staffed.
Ensure PCB design and review process are being followed.
Responsible for making sure schedules are well defined, and followed through fabrication
release. discuss with corresponding PCB designers to address any schedule delays and identify
the need for CI tasks, training, or any other corrective action needed to guarantee schedules are
followed.
Passes down any critical technical requirements for given projects and reviews progress to make
sure such requirements are met.
Provide technical evaluation and oversight of program execution and lead/participate in
technical issue resolution teams when required
Work with Mechanical Team as needed to support ME/EE Interactions during the project life
cycle.
Drive training and coaching the team as needed, so to make sure technical level of team is of the
highest level.
Work directly with Global PCB Design Team Manager to provide project status and drive the
need for new projects in queue as required by current allocation.
Responsible for driving technical interviews and will make sure on-boarding and training
processes are updated and followed.
Utilizes internal Project Tracker mechanism to maintain an up-to-date status on all ongoing and
queued projects.
Provides performance feedback to Global manager about team individuals performance.
Must be willing to work extended and flexible hours to communicate with teams in global
locations.
Qualifications:
Education: BS/BE/BTECH in Electrical/Elctronics or related field.
Experience:
6+ Years experience in leading layout design teams, preferably of local and foreign nature.
10+ year experience in PCB design and manufacturing processes. Experience with Altium
Designer is highly preferred.
Substantial familiarity with latest technology and techniques in PCB Design for High Speed and
HDI Products.
Excellent leadership and Team-building abilities with strong interpersonal and communication
skills.
Self-motivated, team player with ability to work in a geographically diverse and fast-paced
environment.
Self-starter, results oriented, strong problem-solving with ability to build strong cross-functional
team cooperation and ability to grow teams and promote professional environment.
Fluent Domain of the English Language; ability to read, write and speak English well.
