RE: INFORMATION BACKGROUND/BRIEF INTRODUCTION


I am Jacob Ombayi Izrael from Our Lady of Immaculate Conception-Kendu Bay parish in the
Catholic Diocese of Homa Bay.
As a young boy I was motivated to love the church by my grandmother who despite being
advanced in age was able to read the Bible and pass on catechetical instructions. This was the
initial spark in my heart that turned into a burning fire of love for priesthood. I started being in
love with the caring nature of the priests, especially to the vulnerable and the sick. So far so
good, I have purified my intentions and I am in the process of becoming a true disciple of Christ.
Priesthood being a noble call it is can only be sustained by being committed to the ideals of
Christ. I am ready to undergo the process required to achieve this, by being open to formation,
true to the calling and committed to its goals.
I am a graduate in Civil and Structural Engineering- majoring in roads and structures. Thank you in
