NOTES
1. Blanket is worked in one piece, back and forth in rows.
2. Yarn color is changed, to form stripes, following a Stripe Sequence. To change yarn color, work last st of
old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete the
st. Proceed with new color. Fasten off old color.
STRIPE SEQUENCE
Work 1 row with A, (2 rows with B, 2 rows with C, 2 rows with D, 2 rows with E, 2 rows with A) 6 times for
a total of 61 rows.
BLANKET
With A, ch 73.
Row 1: With A, dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped ch count as dc) and in next 3 ch, * ch 1, sk next ch, dc in
next 4 ch; rep from * to last ch, dc in last ch and change to B in last st – you will have twelve 4-dc groups, 13
ch-1 sps, and a 5-dc group at beg and end of this row.
Row 2: With B, ch 1, turn, sc in first st, * ch 4, sk next 4 sts, sc in next ch-1 sp; rep from * to last 5 sts, ch 4,
sk next 4 sts, sc in top of beg ch – 15 sc and 14 ch-4 sps.
Row 3: With B, ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, 4 dc in first ch-4 sp, * ch 1, sk next st, 4 dc in next ch-4 sp; rep from
* to beg ch, dc in top of beg ch and change to C – Twelve 4-dc groups, 13 ch-1 sps, and a 5-dc at beg and
end of row.
Rows 4-61: Rep Rows 2 and 3 and continue to change yarn color following Stripe Sequence until all 61 rows
of sequence have been completed.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
