CCICOMP Project

Term 2, AY 2023-2024

Over the decades, computer hardware components have undergone remarkable evolution,
transitioning from bulky, room-sized machines to sleek, powerful devices that fit in our pockets.
This evolution has been driven by relentless innovation, resulting in faster processors, increased
storage capacities, and enhanced connectivity. Understanding these hardware components is
vital as they form the foundation of modern computing systems. From optimizing performance
to troubleshooting issues, a comprehensive knowledge of hardware empowers individuals to
harness the full potential of technology, enabling them to adapt to changing technological
landscapes and innovate effectively in various fields.

On March 7 (9:15 AM to 4:00 PM) – March 8 (9:15 AM to 3:00 PM), CSARCH2 students will be
showcasing different computer hardware components at the Ground Floor of Henry Sy Sr. Hall,
DLSU Manila Campus. In this exhibit, computer components Then and Now will highlight this
extraordinary advancement in technology.

As a CCICOMP student, your goal is to interview the exhibitors about their presentation, get to
know the specific hardware component in detail, and create a short video clip documenting this
activity.

General instructions:
1. Form groups with 3 – 4 members. You may retain the same grouping as the one in the
lab activity.
2. Identify and choose only 1 group of exhibitors and the exhibit you want to document.
Take note of the Exhibitors’ name, CSARCH2 section, and the computer component that
they are showcasing.
3. Ask the exhibitors to sign the CCICOMP Video Interview Consent Form to record the
interview. If they agree, you may proceed with recording the interview. Otherwise, you
must look for a group that allows you to record the interview and their exhibit.
4. During the interview, you must do the following:
a. Introduce the event, indicate the name, date, and venue where the event took
place.
b. Introduce yourselves (all CCICOMP group members), indicate your names and
CCICOMP section
c. Introduce the exhibitors (all CSARCH2 group members), indicate their names and
CSARCH2 section
d. Use appropriate and polite language to ask questions with the goal of
understanding what the computer component is, e.g., what is it called, what
does it do or its purpose, how does it work, where is it used for, what are the
specifications of the component, etc. Ask follow-up questions based on the
answers of the interviewees.
e. Make sure that you have a close-up and clear image of the computer component
itself.
f. After the interview, thank the exhibitors for their time and effort in making the
event happen.
5. The video clip that you will submit should be within 2-3 minutes only. Background music
must be appropriate and does not interfere with the voice of the speakers.
6. Submit the video clip to our Animo Space submission link on or before March 15, 2024
(Friday).
