ABSTRACT

In many projects water logging at parking and walkways is the major issue especially
during monsoon as pavements and floors are normally impermeable. This results in
considerable amount of investment in repairs and providing storm water drain
systems, which may get clogged during peak over flow. Besides this there are many
other problems that arise due to the above. In such situations it is very important to
think about an economical solution which helps in getting rid of all above problems.
The best solution to above problem is "PERVIOUS CONCRETE"

AEIOU SHEET

• In AEIOU summary sheet we have summarize all the elements that we have done in the AEIOU
Sheets. All the functions are summarizing into one sheet.

SUMMARY OF AEIOU

 Activities:
Activities are goal directed sets of action paths towards things people want to accomplish. What
are the modes people work in, and the specific activities and processes they go through. We have
included the activities that are required for “PREVIOUS CONCRETE”

• Selection of material
• Selection of moulds
• Lubing
• Curing
• Material testing

6 | Page
 Environment:

Environment includes the entire arena where an activity takes place. Environment can be observe
by asking certain questions like –What is the character and function of the space overall, of each
individuals spaces and of shared spaces.
• Noise pollution
• Cool atmosphere
• Air pollution
• Cloudy

• Humidity

 Interaction

Interactions are between a person and someone or something else; they are the building blocks of
activities. Interactions can be observed by asking certain questions like – What is the nature of
routine and special interactions between people, between people and object in their environment
and across distances.
We have observed and noted interactions such as:
• Man to Man
• Watchman to labour
• Engineer to Owner
• Contractor to Labour

 Objects:

Objects are building blocks of the environment, key elements sometimes put to complex or
unintended uses (thus changing their functions, meaning and context).

Objects can be observed by asking certain questions like. What are the objects and devices people
have in their environments and how do they relate to their activities?

We have noted objects such as:

• Mould
• Cement
• Sand
• Aggregate
• Concrete Mixture

7 | Page
• Watertank

 Users:

Users are the people whose behaviours, preferences and needs are being observed. User can be
observed by asking certain questions like:

Who is there, what are their roles and relationships? What are their values and prejudices?

We have chosen users such as:

• Owners
• Architect
• People
• Builder
• Engineer

MIND MAPPING

➢ Mind mapping idea of design engineering which we can find our problem In the topic and also get
the solution.

SUMMARY OF EMPATHY CANVAS:

 User

In empathy canvas we have selected users are:

• Contractor
• Engineer
• Owner
• Labour

 Stakeholder:

• Labour
• Engineer
• Architecture
• Contractor
• Service Providers

 Activities:

• Selection of material
• Selection of moulds
• Lubing
• Curing
• Material testing

STORY BOARDING :

HAPPY STORY:
We went to visit road near our hostel when we went there we saw many people walking on the side
of road. We went there during monsoon season due to rain road surface was slippery there was pothole
the surface of the road where water was filled so that it is dangerous for driving vehicle and for
walking on the road

HAPPY STORY:
We are liking the experience of newly constructed road with porous concrete as it noy only helps
reducing storm water runoff and reduces contamination of water but also is eco friendly

SAD STORY:
We visited our site in bardoli near sugar factory. We saw many pothole in road and the pothole was
fully filled with water due to this road was hard to use.

SAD STORY:
We visited our society there was the water filled in the road surface and due to this long time storage
of water mosquitos are increased due to this mosquitos diseases are spreading in environment

IDEATION CANVAS

SUMMARY OF IDEATION CANVAS:

 People:
Parking area and garden walking path commonly used by people so people indirectly attached
to it

Some of the people are mentioned below which are effected indirectly.

• Builder
• Manager
• Labourer
• Officer
• Engineers

 Activities:

Here people are engaged in some other activities some of us are mentioned below:

• Preliminary Planning
• Selection of Materials
• Detailed Investigation
• Inspection Report

 Situation/Context/Location:

Then thought for context/location/situation and finally for possible solutions. We conclude that
people’s emotions when using an interactive system do not only influence the current interaction
itself.
• Special Structure
• Save time for construction
• Better quality
• Irrigation Structure

 Props/Possible Solutions:

Props are the keywords which may flash in our mind by thinking of the some issues which may
occur by combining randomly ‘people’, ‘activities’, and ‘situation/context/location’ sections in the
ideation canvas. ‘Props’ are the keywords which may issues/problems or solution keyword.
• Sand
• Concrete
• Aggregate
• Concrete Mixture

• Water
• Cement
• W/C ratio
