REFLECTIVE LEARNING REPORT: LEADERSHIP FOUNDATIONS

(based on Gibbs Reflective Cycle)

Description: Learning Acquired

In this Course, most of the employers are looking for students who can demonstrate
excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills as well as resilience;
these skills are rated the most desirable skills for graduates entering the workforce.
This program is designed to help you develop these essential leadership and
professional skills and to be able to apply them in a range of different contexts and
Learn about the individual approach to leadership, the steps of welcoming and
training new team members, the orientation process, how to access team members’
skills sets and how to give positive and negative feedback. Know how to inspire and
motivate your team with this leadership course.

Emotional Reflection: What were you thinking and feeling?

It is difficult for me to define leadership, especially in one sentence, but I agree that
leadership is the action of leading others or an organization. I believe it is when
someone takes a risk and ventures into the unknown. It is also critical to note that it is
never just one person. I agree that certain characteristics and skills are required to be
a successful leader. A leader must be able to simply lead they must direct and guide
others to achieve common goals. Another important skill is communication. To create
a positive work environment and culture that will accept change and innovation in the
company, a leader must be able to clearly communicate, build relationships, motivate
and inspire others, and be a role model. Leaders must also demonstrate proper
behavior by being honest, showing appreciation, and working toward a bright future.
Evaluation:

After taking this course the leadership foundations, something came up in my mind
the pros and cons about being a leader mostly in the hospitality industry and being a
leader can be super fulfilling but also mentally and physically draining. People will
depend on you for their overall success. Do well and you are a hero but do poorly and
people think you didn't do your best but at the end do your best keep the positive
attitude just do your tasks

Analysis:

The contents of the courses are very helpful especially to me because my course field
is related in this content it helps me a lot. This program taught me how to be a team
player and how to handle proper attitude in the guests or customers negative and
positive scenarios that can't be avoided.
Conclusion:

In conclusion Lobster Ink is very helpful especially in this pandemic and most of the
students taking online classes in their houses, there's a lot of challenges. We are very
thankful because lobster ink appear in our course and the content in this program is
knowledgeable. It would be best if to take note of the key points of the lessons.
Action Plan:

My recommendations in this program is to enhance their server in our country since I

have encounter a lot of technical problems, I hope they can give the students
permission to create an account or can change the password. Sometimes we need to
communicate ICT in our school to unlock or edit our accounts which is hassle for us
students it takes a lot of time, we need to wait like 24hrs or more.

REFLECTIVE LEARNING REPORT: PARTAGER LUMIERE: AN AVENUE FOR

EXPERTS AND FUTURE HOTELIERS

Description: Learning Acquired

I learned many things in this seminar because the event would not have been
possible without the presenters who shared their personal stories with us all.
When working in the hospitality industry, participants taught us not to be
personal.
Emotional Reflection: What were you thinking and feeling?

In the hospitality industry, service is everything. The key to success in any hospitality
business is providing excellent service. Trying to make your customers feel special is
an art form that only dedicated, well-trained employees can master. Customers who
receive good service will return, and their positive feedback will attract new ones.

Evaluation: State good experiences and bad experiences or challenges encountered

It was all good, the webinar was done properly from the start until the end, the hosts
and the guests are very delightful and fun. I’m amazed actually I won in the game; I
got the prize worth 200 pesos. The topic is beneficial to us students. They did very
well, and there were a lot of prizes.

Analysis: What sense can you make of the learning situation and platform, and the
learning content or program?

This webinar is useful, I knew how to manage well with others and build confidence in
tough and daily situations involving guests or clients through this webinar.
Conclusion: What else could you have done?

I therefore conclude that all the guest speakers go through to the beginning they also
started struggling until they reached what they are right now. They did they’re best
and continue. Besides it was very motivational for us students who will experience
things like that and not to give up easily.

Action Plan: Recommendations to improve learning and the program.

For me, it was all good I don’t have any recommendations in this webinar as I am
surprised then impressed of the result and flow of the webinar specially, I won the
game and it’s not boring for a webinar.
