MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS
This MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT made and entered into this day of 2022
at Cebu Integrated School, Cebu, San Isidro, Isabela
BY AND BETWEEN
The parents, students, and teachers of Cebu Integrated School.
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, some students are committing habitual absences without valid reasons;
WHEREAS, there is a need to resolve habitual absences committed by students;
WHEREAS, the following guidelines in attendance and punctuality as stated in the Paragraph
1.2, Section 1, Chapter III, Part IV of 2000 DECS Service Manual shall be observed:
a. Regularity of attendance and punctuality are required in all classes. A student who has been
absent or has cut classes is required to present a letter of explanation from his/her parents
or guardians or to bring them to school for a short conference with the section adviser or
guidance counselor as the case may be.
b. Attendance of students in special holidays, activities relative to their religions shall be
allowed provided permission of the school head is sought.
c. Habitual tardiness especially during the first period in the morning and in the afternoon shall
not be allowed. Teachers concerned shall call for the parents of the student concerned or
visit him/her at home.
WHEREAS, a student who committed a minimum of five (5) absences within a Quarter shall not
be allowed to enroll in the next Semester;
NOW THEREFORE, resolved as it is hereby resolved, that the guidelines in 2000 DECS Service
Manual shall be observed;
RESOLVED FURTHER, as it is hereby further resolved that the students who have been absent
or have cut classes are required to present a letter of explanation from their parents or guardians or to
bring them to school for a short conference with the class adviser;
RESOLVED FURTHER, as it is hereby further resolved that the students in special holidays,
activities relative to their religions shall be allowed provided permission of the school head;
RESOLVED FURTHER, as it is hereby further resolved that the teachers concerned shall call for
the parents of the student concerned or visit him/her at home;
RESOLVED FURTHER, as it is hereby further resolved that the student who committed a
minimum of five (5) absences within a Quarter shall not be allowed to enroll in the next Semester;
RESOLVED FINALLY, as it is hereby finally resolved that mutual cooperation and concrete and
concerted action shall be undertaken by both parties to uphold the dignity of the school and to impose
discipline among learners.
