In this exercise, three types of stimuli (a letter, a red leaf, and a
white pumpkin) will appear one after the other at different spots,
anywhere on the screen. The goal of this exercise is to determine
quickly whether the white pumpkin appears above or below the red
leaf.
1. The first video will show each element slowly. Your patient will
draw either an up or down arrow in the boxes provided, to show
whether they thought the white pumpkin appeared higher or lower
than the red leaf.
2. The second video will show each element for a shorter period of
time, and this video will last longer than the first. Your patient will
draw either an up or down arrow in the boxes provided, to show
whether they thought the white pumpkin appeared higher or lower
than the red leaf.
3. The last video will show each element even faster, and have longer
pauses in between their appearances. Your patient will draw either
an up or down arrow in the boxes provided, to show whether they
thought the white pumpkin appeared higher or lower than the red
leaf.

BRIDGING QUESTIONS
1. Sometimes the leaf and pumpkin were further apart and it was easier
to figure out if the pumpkin was above or below the leaf. Did you
find it difficult to tell if the circle was higher or lower when the two
elements were closer together?
2. There were letters incorporated into the exercise, though they
weren’t relevant to the task of figuring out the position of the pumpkin
in relation to the leaf. How did you avoid getting distracted by these?
3. As the exercises became harder, there was more time in between
the appearance of the letters, pumpkins, and leaves. How did this
affect your memory of where the pumpkin was located in relation to
the leaf?
