Subject: 'Green Olympiad 2023'
Sir/ Madam,
The Associate Director, Environment Education and Awareness (EEA) Area, at The Energy and
Resources Institute (TERI) organizes GREEN Olympiad with a purpose of supporting an
environmentally aware and sustainability conscious young citizenry which is supported by the
Ministry ofEnvironment, Forests & Climate Change, Govt. of India and UNESCO, New Delhi.
'The GREEN Olympiad' is a premier MCQ-based examination which is held every year serves a
dual purpose of both testing the environment quotient and enhance their understanding on various
issues related to Sustainabie Development and Green Skills. This year GREEN Olympiad 2023
Examination will be held through OFFLINE Mode. The examination dates are 01 September 2023
and 12 October 2023. However, this examination is totally voluntary.
The Green Olympiad 2023 will be focusing on the two core subjects 1) Environment and
Sustainable Development 2) Green Skills. The GREEN Olympiad is open for students of Std. IV
to Std. XII and is divided into four levels i.e. Level I (Std. IV - V), Level II (Std. VI - VIII), Level
III (Std. IX - X), Level IV (XI- XII). There are separate registration forms for each level. Each
school can nominate any number of students for this examination at each level. However,
participation of a minimum number of 10 students per level is mandatory. Registration details

All the concerned Heads are instructed to inform the Teacher Incharge about the website and
encourage the students to register for the same.
