Public buildings
Public building, with diverse definitions, different perceptions, features and characteristics, lies
within the common ground which is used mainly by the public. In my own view, public buildings
can be defined as buildings that are mainly, purposely and generally used by the public, which
can be for commercial, residential, institutional and other purposes. Public buildings can be easily
identified by their exterior designs and architectural features, they also serve different purposes
for each and every kind of person, be it rich, poor, needy, disabled etc. This is to say that public
buildings can be used by anyone, at anytime anywhere.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEA AND FINISHED SCHOOLS BUILDINGS.

LEA: which stands for local education agencies or authorities means a council body that

is responsible for administering education in a particular area or A

public board of education or other public authority

within a state that maintains administrative control

of public elementary or secondary schools in a city,

county, township, school district, or other political

subdivision of a state.

FINISHED SCHOOLS: a
school or college where young women
from rich families learn how to behave in high-class society
Difference: Local education authority schools, also known as public schools, are funded and
managed by the government. They provide education to students within a specific geographic
area. On the other hand, finished schools might refer to private or independent schools, which
are not funded or managed by the government. They often have their own curriculum and
admission process. Also,Another difference between local education authority schools and
private or independent schools is the way they are funded. Local education authority schools are
funded by the government through taxes, while private schools rely on tuition fees and private
funding. This difference in funding can affect the resources and facilities available at each type of
school. Additionally, local education authority schools usually follow a standardized curriculum
set by the government, while private schools may have more flexibility in designing their own
curriculum. Another difference between local education authority schools and private or
independent schools is the level of autonomy they have. Local education authority schools are
subject to government regulations and policies, which can influence various aspects such as
curriculum, hiring of teachers, and school management. On the other hand, private schools have
more freedom to establish their own rules and practices, allowing them to tailor their
educational approach to their specific values and philosophies. This autonomy often leads to
unique teaching methods and specialized programs in private schools.
Local Education Authority Schools and Private/Independent Schools or finishing schools major
differences:
| Government-funded and managed | Privately funded and managed |
| Follow standardized curriculum set by the government | May have their own curriculum |
| Funding comes from taxes | Funding comes from tuition fees and private sources |
| Subject to government regulations and policies | Have more autonomy in establishing rules and
practices |
| Resources and facilities may vary based on government funding | Often have more resources
and facilities |
| Serve students within a specific geographic area | May have selective admission processes |
| Can be more diverse in terms of student population | May have a more specific demographic or
focus |
| Often larger in size and student population | Can range in size and student population |
