FAQ- City Brokerage Services

1. What is this Service all about?


- Now City Bank customers can avail share related services like- BO account opening, share
trading and deposit fund to BO account from Citytouch without visiting the branches

2. What kind of accounts do we need to open for trading in the capital market?
- You need to open a trading account and a BO (Beneficiary Owner’s) with a brokerage house to
invest in capital market. Purpose of trading account (opened with a brokerage house) is to do
the transactions/ trades through a brokerage house and BO Account (opened with Central
Depository Bangladesh Limited or CDBL through a brokerage house) is used to settle
transactions and safekeeping of your owned shares.

3. What are the products or services I can avail using Trading Account and BO Account if I open
such accounts with City Brokerage?
- You can apply IPOs (Initial Public Offering) of issuing companies or bonds; conduct transactions
in the secondary market to purchase and sale of listed equities, mutual funds, bonds, and
government securities (Treasury Bonds). You can do transactions in regular market, SME
market and ATB market of Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange.

4. How to open a Trading Account and BO Account with City Brokerage?


- Citytouch users can open BO account in City Brokerage by placing a request through Citytouch
App. Users need go to Citytouch “Explore” option and select “City Brokerage” Tab and click on
‘Open BO Account” tab. Fill up the registration form and submit.
Login to Citytouch->Explore ->City Brokerage ->Open BO Account ->Register for BO Account
Opening.
5. How much time does it take to open a BO Account?
- Usually it will take within 3 working days to process Trading Account and BO account opening
request. One of our Relationship Manager will contact the client and guide him/her through
process upon receiving the request.

6. What are the requirements of opening a BO Account?


- For an individual BO Account, the client must have a valid NID/Passport, Nominee
NID/Passport, Photos of both account holder and Nominee, and a Bank Statement. Please
contact City Brokerage Limited for more information.

7. What is the Transaction Commission Rate of City Brokerage?


- Commission rate is dependent on portfolio investment size. Please contact City Brokerage
Limited for more information.

8. What are the charges and fees of Opening a BO Account?


- To open a BO Account, BDT 450 will be required as Govt. CDBL charges.

9. Is there any other charges or fees related to open a BO Account?
- There is no additional charge to open BO account with City Brokerage.

10. How many accounts I can open with City Brokerage?


- You can open maximum of two accounts (one individual and one with other person jointly or
joint account)

11. What is City Infinity?


- City Infinity is a trading application of City Brokerage. You can trade in both stock exchanges
using City Infinity and can be used from anywhere of the world.

12. Do I need to have a Trading Account and BO account with City Brokerage for using City Infinity?
- A client needs to have a Trading Account and BO account with City Brokerage Limited. Clients
of listed merchant banks of City Brokerage can also avail City Infinity.

13. I am already a client of “XYZ” (example) merchant bank. Can I avail City Infinity?
- City Brokerage have panel broking service agreement with 26 merchant banks. If you are
already a client of one of the listed merchant banks you can avail services of City Infinity. To
see the list of listed merchant banks please visit: www.citybrokerageltd.com/ or contact your
merchant bank.

14. How to register for City Infinity?


- Login to Citytouch->Explore ->City Brokerage ->Trade with City Infinity ->Register Now -
>Complete the Registration.

15. How much time does it take to complete the registration for City Infinity?
- Usually it takes 1 working day to process the registration request and activate the user.

16. Is it a real time trading app?


- Yes, City Infinity is a real time trading.

17. Can we trade in both DSE and CSE with City Infinity?
- Yes, users can execute their trade in both Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock
Exchange though City Infinity.

18. Are there any charges for using City Infinity?


- City Infinity is absolutely free of charge.

19. How to reset password for City Infinity?


- In City Infinity App, the ‘’Forgot Password” option facilitates for password reset of City Infinity.

20. How can we deposit funds in BO account to purchase securities or shares?


- Login to Citytouch->Explore ->City Brokerage ->Fund Deposit ->Login to Citytouch> Insert
necessary field and submit.

21. How much time does it take to update my purchase power after depositing fund through
Citytouch?
- Usually, it takes up to 15 minutes to update the purchase power if the deposit is done in trading
hours. Else it will update on the next trading day.

22. How much can we deposit per Transaction in my BO account through Citytouch?
- Maximum per transaction limit is BDT 5 Lacs.

23. How much can we deposit in total to my BO account through Citytouch per day?
- Daily total transaction limit is BDT 8 Lacs.

24. Can I deposit fund from my City Islamic Account to my BO Account?


- Yes, you can deposit fund from City Islamic account as well.

25. Do I have to send the Deposit confirmation slip manually to City Brokerage Authority to increase
my purchase power?
- No, the deposit is automatically updated within 15 minutes in respective BO Account.

26. Are there any charges related to my fund deposit through Citytouch in my BO Account?
- There are no charges for depositing in BO account through Citytouch.

27. How can I withdraw funds from BO Account to my registered Bank Account?
- Login to Citytouch->Explore ->City Brokerage ->Fund Withdrawal ->Login to City Brokerage
Portal -> Select Fund Withdrawal -> Insert necessary field and submit. Or you can directly login
to City Brokerage Portal (https://secured.citybrokerageltd.com/Account/Login) and request
for Fund withdrawal as well.

28. How much time does it take to process the fund withdrawal request?
- Usually it requires one working day to process the request considering required balance is
available in the account.

29. What is the maximum amount I can withdraw per request?


- You can withdraw any amount available in your portfolio through a single request.

30. Are there any charges related to my fund withdrawal from my BO Account?
- No, there is no charges associated with Fund Withdrawal from BO Account with City Brokerage
Ltd.

31. Can I purchase Govt. Bond using my BO Account?


- Yes, you can purchase Govt Bond both from primary auction and secondary market using your
BO Account.
