Topic: A country’s GDP spending on 3 different areas.
The given line graph illustrates the percentage of a particular nation’s GDP
investment on 3 distinct sectors namely health, education, roads and railways between
2000 and 2025.
Overall, As the graph shows, the health sector did and will receive most funding
from the government in most of the period. While investment in health and education
increased dramatically, the opposite was true for roads and railways.
In 2000, the highest proportion of GDP was spent on roads and railways, at
around 5% compared to 2,5% for education expenditure. However, this figure reduced
significantly to 3% 20 years later. Meanwhile, the money for education rose by 0.5%
in 2020, making the spending on education and road and railways equal.
In the year 2000, the expenditure on health was 4% of GDP, but then in the
forthcoming years, it increased. It reached 5% in 2010, but after 2015, this increase
started to take more height. It rose to approximately 7.5% in 2025, making it the
highest funding sector.
The graph indicates that while the expenditure on health is an increasing priority and
the share of GDP on education is on the decline, money spent on roads and railways
has remained low throughout this period.
