AgriSURE
• Launch of AgriSURE Scheme:
• Union Minister for Agriculture, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, launched
the AgriSURE Scheme in New Delhi.
• Officially named Agri Fund for Startups & Rural Enterprises.
• Total fund size: ₹750 crore
• Aim: Support high risk, technology driven ventures in the agricultural
and rural startup ecosystem.
• Contributors: Government of India, NABARD, and private investors.
• Objectives of the Scheme:
• Foster innovation and growth in the agriculture sector.
• Support startups that focus on technology and innovation.
• Drive productivity and empowerment of farmers.

Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari
• Prime Minister Modi is launching a new initiative called "Jal Sanchay Jan
Bhagidari" in Surat, Gujarat.
• The initiative focuses on getting communities more involved in water
conservation efforts across India.
• Connection with Existing Campaign:
• This initiative is part of the larger “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain”
campaign.
• It aims to promote collaborative water management to ensure that water
is available for everyone, both now and in the future.
PAIR
• New Government Initiative:
• The central government is launching the Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research
(PAIR) programme.
• Objective:
• The programme aims to enhance research capabilities in higher education institutions (HEIs)
across India.
• How It Works:
• Top tier research institutions will partner with institutions that have limited research capacity.
• This will create a collaborative mentorship environment to help improve research output and
innovation.
BioE3 Policy
• The Union Cabinet of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi, has approved a groundbreaking policy aimed at
revolutionizing the country’s biotechnology sector. The BioE3
Policy (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment and Employment) sets the
stage for fostering high performance biomanufacturing, positioning India at
the forefront of global biotechnological innovation.
• Key Features of the BioE3 Policy:

• The policy focuses on providing robust support for Research and
Development (R&D) and entrepreneurship across various thematic sectors.
This approach aims to:

Mission Mausam
• Mission Approval:
• The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved
Mission Mausam on September 11, 2024.
• The mission has an allocated budget of ₹2,000 crore over two years.
• Ministry of Earth Sciences will lead the mission.
• Mission Goal:
• Mission Mausam aims to enhance research and development in
atmospheric sciences and improve weather forecasting and management.

PM EDRIVE Scheme
• The scheme comes with a budget of ₹10,900 crore over a span of two years.
• Goal: To accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India.
• Key Objectives:
• Promote electric mobility across the country.
• Enhance air quality by reducing emissions from traditional vehicles.
• Minimize the environmental impact of the transportation sector.
• This initiative aims to revolutionize India’s transition to cleaner, more sustainable

BHASKAR
• The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT),
under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is launching a digital
platform named Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR).
• This initiative is part of the Startup India program.
• Purpose of BHASKAR:
• BHASKAR aims to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem by centralizing
and streamlining collaboration between key stakeholders.
• It will connect startups, investors, mentors, service providers, and
government bodies on one platform.
NPS Vatsalya Scheme
• NPS Vatsalya Scheme (Announced in Union Budget 2024-25)
• Launch Date: September 18, 2024
• Launched By: Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman
• Location: New Delhi
• Key Features:
• - Flexible Contributions: Allows families to contribute according to their financial capacity.
• - Minimum Annual Investment: As low as Rs. 1,000 per year in a child’s name.
• - Investment Options: Provides various options to tailor investments based on individual goals and
risk tolerance.
• - Accessible for All: Designed to be inclusive, benefiting families from all economic backgrounds.
Subhadra Scheme
• Launched By: Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi
• Initiative of: State Government of Odisha
• Beneficiaries: One crore women in Odisha
• About the Subhadra Yojana:
• - Financial Assistance: Provides Rs. 10,000 annually to eligible women beneficiaries.
• - Eligibility: Women aged between 21 and 60 years residing in Odisha.
• - Objective: To promote economic independence and well-being of women in the state.
• - Named After: Goddess Subhadra, the younger sibling of Lord Jagannath, the presiding
deity of Odisha.

(WiSLP)
