Yumbing National High School (YNHS) shared its
teacher-made journalism text and activity sheets to three
public high schools in Northern Mindanao.
Regional Journalism Coordinator Dr. Angelita Buaron
called all school paper advisers (SPAs) and Special
Program in Journalism (SPJ) coordinator to share their
innovations to other public schools that are just offering
this special curriculum.
Buaron posted online encouraging all schools to
strengthen its implementation for this would produce
positive result all throughout the year.
Moreover, with this calling, SPJ coordinator Mr. Mark
A. Palad received messages via Facebook from teachers
of other school divisions asking for assistance regarding
the teacher-made text for SPJ 7 learners.
Palad, with his commitment, distributed the work text
and other supplemental activities for journalism to Clarin
National High School in Misamis Occidental, Iligan City
National High School of Iligan City, and Molugan National
High School in the City Division of El Salvador.
“We are willing to offer our teacher-made work text.
This would really help them in teaching their students amid
this pandemic. Hopefully, the students would learn
something from the craft we made,” he said.
Further, teachers from these mentioned schools
gladly sent a thankful message to Yumbing NHS for the
immediate response to their request.
To promote safety among the barrio people, Barangay
Yumbing has tightened the implementation of COVID-19 health
protocols and curfew.

According to Hon. Grover C. Dablo, Barangay Captain,


these health protocols must be followed to avoid the local
transmission of virus and the curfew in our barangay should be
well-observed to maintain peace and order.

Dablo, in an interview of January 27, 2021 during the


barangay assembly, encouraged all individuals not to roam
around at night and to follow the imposed health protocols.

“ If I caught you roam around at 10 o’clock in any places in our


barangay and did not follow also the health protocols will be
penalized. I have Tanods who are tasked to catch the violators,”
Dablo cited.

He revealed that COVID-19 posed major threats to human life


and it gives misery to those who will be infected with that disease.

The barangay executive urged locals to follow the various


ordinances as it fosters safety to their lives.

“ Please help us in our quest to fight COVID-19 because it will


surely benefit us to become a progressive barangay,” Dablo
stated.
Futhermore, members of the baranagay COVID-19 task force and
authorized enforcers will be reprimanding any persons within the
jurisdiction who will not abide the laws and ordinances.
