ENGINEERING AND TESTING


B&P Water Technologies srl can provide along with the supplied systems, depending on customer’s requirements, a
complete engineering package that includes 3D models, general arrangement drawings, isometric drawings, wiring
diagrams, instrument and equipment data sheets, mechanical
calculations, etc. Customer’s QCP & ITP can be fully satisfied in
terms of certificate and test reports such as UT, RX, DP, PMI, etc. as
applicable.

REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANTS

SEAWATER DESALINATION

B&P Water Technologies manufactures a comprehensive range of


skid mounted or containerized reverse osmosis desalination plants
able to produce fresh water for potable or technical purposes.
The seawater containerized desalination reverse osmosis systems
are built inside metal shipping containers.
On request, offshore containers can be provided, certified according
to the strict rules foreseen by EN12079-1 and DNV 2.7-1.
The units supplied inside offshore containers can be installed on
offshore platforms and accommodation barges.
Special installations for hazardous areas can be provided.
Both the skid mounted and containerized seawater desalination
units are assembled and fully tested at our facility before being
delivered with no need for on-site system assembly, pipe work,
electrical wiring or mounting of components.

In case of seawater containerized desalination units, the container also works as


shipping container so there is no need for wood crating or rental of sea containers to
transport the system to its destination. Our containers are designed for indoor or
outdoor permanent or mobile installations.
The complete sea water reverse osmosis system includes filtration, pumping
equipment, membranes, electrical controls, and chemical feed and control components.

As energy consumption is a big


issue in managing a desalination
plant, all our reverse osmosis
plants can be equipped with the
latest energy recovery systems.
Our seawater reverse osmosis
desalination plants are designed to
produce drinking water (salt Containerized desalination unit – Internal view
content less than 500 ppm) from
seawater with salinity up to 55000
ppm.
The end user shall

The plant is fully automatic to ease the operation of the end user.

All the
materials are
selected to
guarantee the

and to minimize
the routine maintenance; as an example, the seawater pipes under high
pressure are manufactured in UNS31803 Duplex stainless steel, while those
under low pressure are made in a-toxic PVC.
Plant operation and supervision is managed by a local control panel equipped
with PLC and operator touchscreen HMI.
Skid mounted desalination unit
We can provide systems to operate correctly with any power supply voltage (690V-460V-440V-
240V-230V) and frequency (50Hz-60Hz).

Local panels can be self-standing or panel mounted depending on the size of the unit and on
customer’s choice. Variable frequency drivers for the reverse osmosis high pressure pumps
can be panel mounted or self-standing depending on size and installation.

Remote plant supervision can be offered through the


web. Main plants parameters such as flowrates,
pressures and water quality can be remoted on a
web page. B&P Water Technologies will be able to
monitor the plant operation accessing the web page Local control panel
to verify that the system is running properly and, in
case of any malfunction or abnormal parameter, can determine the problem and suggest the
solution.

Place) system for periodical membrane
Main operating parameters cleaning, with all the chemical dosing
systems required to adjust seawater and
product water quality.

Injection of disinfecting agent (such as Sodium Hypochlorite) and chlorine excess


removal are usually no longer necessary since disinfection is achieved by means of
UV-C sterilizers manufactured in material suitable for sea water application
(Polyethylene or Duplex SS).

Our flexibility allows us to “customize” our products to fit


any particular need from our clients in terms of

fabricate customized filtering elements based on
“wedge wire” technology that can be connected to
intake concrete structures or can be connected to feed
pumps customized by B&P Water Technologies with
steel sleeve suitable for horizontal and vertical

Skid mounted units can be either shipped in ISO containers or seaworthy


packed in crates depending on customer’s choice.

REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANTS
BRACKISH WATER DESALINATION
Our brackish reverse osmosis packages
are designed to treat well waters and
ground waters having a maximum salinity
of 10000 ppm and to satisfy any specific
requirement of the end user/customer
regarding the required quality of produced
water.
All our brackish water desalination units, in
the standard configuration, are skid
mounted.
Containerized brackish water desalination
units, assembled inside shipping
containers, can be offered as optional.
Brackish water reverse osmosis system for steam Thanks to high flexibility and modularity of
production our brackish water desalination reverse
osmosis packages, it is possible to remove undesired components from water, reduce the water
salinity to achieve industrial water grade (for boiler or cooling tower application, as example), make
the water potable or make it suitable for irrigation purpose.

with polishing systems as EDI (Electro-
deionization) to produce ultrapure water
for process purpose.

rate. Each brackish reverse osmosis desalination plant is fabricated with high
compact design and with first priority on client’s specific requirement.
The high automation level of each plant allows to minimize the end user’s
operation during the normal service time, while the selection of materials and
components is done to maximize the plant lifetime.
The brackish water desalination reverse osmosis plants, in the base figure, are
composed by a filtration section (filtration degree and type are selected based
on each single feed water analysis), a disinfection system comprising a Ultra
Violet sterilizer and a
reverse osmosis
section. Additional Skid mounted brackish water system with degassing
systems for iron and membranes for process water production

softening, pH conditioning, storage tanks and pumping stations, can be supplied

PRIMARY, INDUSTRIAL AND WASTE WATER TREATMENTS

IRON REMOVAL, FILTRATION AND SOFTENING


B&P Water Technologies has a deep experience in supplying customized solutions for
the industrial and civil water softening, filtration, iron removal and sterilization, for water
flow rates in a range of 1-1000 m3/h.
Softening can be achieved by means of water softeners filled with resins (FDA approved).
Softeners can be supplied both in single and duplex configuration, with timer/volume based
regeneration sequence.
Filtration can be achieved by means of sand and carbon filters, iron removal filters,
self-cleaning filters, cartridge filters.

VACUUM SEWAGE SYSTEMS

B&P Water Technologies developed its own technology for the vacuum suction and
transfer of waste waters. Compared with the traditional gravity systems, these units
offer the following advantages:

 Construction cost saving (small trenches)

 Booster pumps stations no longer required
 No sediments and clogging in the pipeline
 No leakages and smells, as the line is kept under vacuum
 Low energy consumption

vacuum station.

B&P Water Technologies is able to make the engineering and the supply for the complete system (pipeline and vacuum pits design up
to the vacuum station).
Our company has supplied its vacuum systems to the major marinas in Italy and abroad, for the suction of bilge and black waters.

WASTEWATER TREATMENTS
ACTIVATED SLUDGE BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT PLANTS
The treatment process involves the biological oxidation of the raw water with
air and sludge recycle. The effluent is oxidized by means of an extended air
injection in order to obtain the total oxidation of the biological components.
The sedimentation chamber separates the sludge from the clarified water,
which is collected to a chlorination chamber.
This plant represents the best solution for single users or small communities.
The compact construction permits the installation in parallel of two or more
units, allowing to treat a huge volume of raw water.
The tank is completely made painted carbon steel. The submerged type
aeration system guarantees a long plant lifetime.

CONTAINERIZED MEMBRANE BIOREACTORS
A NEW CONCEPT TO TREAT CIVIL WASTEWATER.
B&P Water Technologies manufactures a comprehensive range of “containerized” biological wastewater treatment plants based on MBR
technology.
When used with domestic wastewater, MBR processes produce effluent of high quality enough to be discharged to coastal, surface or
brackish waterways or to be reclaimed for urban irrigation.
It is possible to operate MBR process at higher mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) concentrations compared to conventional
settlement separation systems, thus reducing the reactor volume to achieve the same loading rate, and the physical barrier imposed by
the membrane system provides complete disinfection of the treated effluent.

OIL/SOLIDS REMOVAL UNITS
CORRUGATED PLATE INTERCEPTION SEPARATION

CPI Packages are commonly used to separate oil and fats with low specific gravity. The water flows through corrugated plates
manufactured in polypropylene, Oil and fats particles adhere to the plates and, due to low density, move upwards. An adjustable
skimming device collects the oil/fats from water surface. Any eventual sludge is collected in a separate section for extraction and
disposal. When the wastewater contains both low density and high density
oils/fats, an Air Flotation Package (DAF) must follow the CPI package.

DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION PACKAGES (DAF )


Flotation Packages are commonly used to separate oil and fats having specific gravity close to
water. In such a case, the separation occurs only by air flotation. The air bubbles adhere to the
oil/fats particles to reduce the density and thus allows the lifting of the particles. A skimming
device collects the supernatant while the clarified water is extracted from a dedicate section.
Flotation packages include air saturation skid and may be proposed as circular type or
rectangular type depending on size. Rectangular type may be equipped with double scraping
chain to collect any eventual suspended solid in the water precipitating by gravity.
