Dear Alumnus,
I have great pleasure in informing you that the 104th Convocation of Banaras Hindu University, for
those who qualified for the degree in the Examination of 2024, is being organized at 9.30 a.m. on
14thDecember 2024 in the Swatantrata Bhavan. The Faculties/Institutes / Colleges Admitted to the
Privileges of the University would hold a function on 14th December 2024 (AN) to 16th December
2024 (AN) wherein degrees will be distributed to the graduands.
Shri Jay Chaudhry, CEO of Zscaler, USA, has very kindly consented to deliver the Convocation
Address.
I heartily congratulate you and cordially invite you to attend the Convocation and participate in the Faculty
function to receive the degree in person. If you are interested in participating in the above functions,
please submit the consent form by login on the Student Portal (using User ID and Login Password) at
bhuonline.in and deposit the non-refundable fee of Rs. 200/-, latest by 06th December, 2024 evening.
Please note that graduand can receive the degree in the function, only if he/she wears the prescribed
Academic Costumes as given below:
FEMALE COLOUR
Saree and Blouse or Kurta Saree: White with red border Graduands have to arrange on their own
with Pyjama Blouse: Red Kurta / Pyjama:
White
Uttaria printed with BHU Yellow Uttaria and Safa will be supplied to the graduands
Emblem and Singh Dwaar by the Faculty concerned on payment of Rs.200/-
(Main Gate) (non-refundable basis). Graduands can keep
Safa As per prescribed Colour Uttaria and Safa with them in memory of the
Code Convocation.
MALE COLOUR
Kurta with Pyjama or Dhoti Kurta: White Graduands have to arrange on their own
Pyjama/Dhoti: White
Uttaria printed with BHU Yellow Uttaria and Safa will be supplied to the graduands
Emblem and Singh Dwaar by the Faculty concerned on payment of Rs.200/-
(Main Gate) (non-refundable basis). Graduands can keep
Safa As per prescribed Colour Uttaria and Safa with them in memory of the
Code Convocation.

Uttaria and Safa will be supplied by the Faculty concerned during 02:00 pm of 07th December 2024 to
05.00 p.m. of 13th December 2024, to those who will have register themselves through the student
portal. The graduands can keep Uttaria and Safa with them in memory of the Convocation. Other
Academic Costumes (Saree and Blouse for females and Kurta with Pyjama or Dhoti for males) are to be
arranged by the graduands on their own.
A graduand can receive the degree in the function, only if he/she wears the Academic robes. You are,
therefore, requested to send the consent within stipulated date to enable us to make necessary
arrangements.
It may be mentioned here that in case you are not able to attend the Convocation, your degree will
automatically be dispatched by the Registered A/D post by the Office of the Controller of Examinations
after one month of the date of Convocation on the address mentioned by you in the Examination form. In
case, there is any change in the address, you may inform the Office of the Controller of Examinations
accordingly.
