Research question:
How can mobile technology be effectively utilized to enhance productivity and profitability for
small-scale farmers in India?
• Use AI to develop solutions to the above RQ by creating appropriate prompt.
• Apply human intelligence to evaluate the responses from AI and select the relevant content
useful for your project.

Ans) Based on the responses from ChatGPT, google Gemini and Microsoft copilot, the most relevant and
practical solutions for this issue are:
1. Information dissemination ( Microsoft copilot)
• Use mobiles for timely weather updates, market prices, and best practices.
• Evidence shows that mobile phones meet farmers' information needs, impacting income and production
costs

2. Precision Agriculture (Google Gemini) : Mobile technology facilitates precision farming through data-
driven insights on soil health, irrigation, and pest management, optimizing resource use and increasing crop
yields.
3. Wider markets (Chat GPT): Phones allow farmers to connect directly with buyers, potentially increasing
profits. This option focuses on enhancing profitability by enabling direct interaction between farmers and
buyers, thereby reducing dependency on intermediaries and potentially leading to better pricing for farmers’
produce.
VALIDATION:
1. Information dissemination ( Microsoft copilot)
Validation: Studies by organizations like the food and agricultural organization (FAO) and
agricultural extension services in India have shown that access to such information including
weather updates, market prices and best agricultural practices imported farmers’ decision making,
crop management and overall productivity.
2. Precision Agriculture (Google Gemini):
Validation: Research published in agricultural journals and reports from organizations like the
International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) demonstrate that precision agriculture
technologies, including mobile-based applications, significantly improve crop yields and reduce
input costs. For example, studies have shown how real-time data on soil conditions and weather
patterns, accessible through mobile apps, enable farmers to make informed decisions that enhance
productivity and sustainability.
3. Wider markets (Chat GPT):
Validation: Case studies from initiatives like the mAgri program by GSMA (Global System for
Mobile Communications Association) showcase how mobile technology has transformed
agricultural markets by connecting farmers directly with buyers. These initiatives have led to
improved price transparency, reduced transaction costs, and increased income for farmers.
SUMMARY:
While performing the research for this project, I gained a deeper understanding of the
challenges faced by small-scale farmers in India, such as limited access to resources,
financial constraints, and the impacts of climate change.By understanding the various
responses from ChatGPT, google Gemini and Microsoft copilot, I analyzed that even
AI is prone to making mistakes. While some of their solutions maybe valid and
effective, it does not mean that AI can’t make mistakes, thus, to get the best result
possible we must ensure that the solutions provided by AI be validated by current, up-
to-date information. This research project helped me understand the role and

importance of technology and innovation such as precision agriculture, wider
markets, information dissemination etc in sustainable agricultural practices especially
for small scale farmers in India.
