CHAPTER-1

INTRODUCTION
This App“Student Faculty Document Sharing“ is an online portal between students and

faculty. This innovative system allows college faculty to share important data as well as

notifications with engineering students. It consists of a faculty login along with student

login. Since college faculty operates through pc and document uploading is simpler

through a pc, the faculty login is to be performed through a computer. Faculty may

upload documents of subject syllabus, timetable document, notifications, e notes etc

through their provided login. The documents are uploaded by faculty to different

corresponding departments. We propose to build this system on an online server that

allows faculty to upload data and students may view search and download required

documents through their android device. Here students only see and download data of

their particular semester. Rest data is hidden. Faculty may access and upload/edit

documents to any semester or add any notice as desired.

Design Problem

our project aim is to share the data between the university faculty and the students. The system
consists of individual login to faculty and students. The faculty can upload the notifications, e-notes,
syllabus, timetable and any other important information through the faculty login.

Role and Responsibility of a Team Member:

1. Take responsibility for the success of the team. Without this commitment, you should not be
in the team.

2. Always deliver on commitments since your membership to the team is worthwhile.

3. Carry out and complete the task given to you. If due to any reason you can not complete a
task, always inform to the team leader as soon as possible so that other arrangements can be
made.

4. Give full attention to whoever is speaking during team discussions, demonstrate this by
asking helpful questions. Never do distracting things like reading unrelated material, using your
mobile phone, walking around, etc. during team work.

5. Always speak in a loud, clear voice. Always have a positive message.

6. Respect opinion of others. If you do not agree, say it politely.

7. Do not impose your decision on the team, always take decisions by consensus.

8. Learn to give and receive useful feedback. Derive benefit from the collective knowledge and
experience of the team.

CUSTOMER NEEDS RECOGNITION

2.1 INTRODUCTION

There is a critical need for universities to manage the explosion of e-mail

documents, discussion and other content in an effective and effecient manner.
Document creation to the ultimate disposition and storage of documents in both the
function of teaching and learning, as well as the administrative functions within a
university setting, requires process management to provide a secure solution. This
project has a login page which allows only the registered user to login and thereby
preventing unauthorized access. This system can be used to view all the syllabus,
updates details. The android mobile user will be able make quick download from
anywhere using internetUsage of this application will greatly reduce time in
engineering document sharing
Organisations need a suggestion to improve themselves so that they can satisfy the
interns and get a satisfied position at organizational level.
Therefore, customers needs is equally important before designing of any
application. Hence, this chapter concentrates on the interns needs by conducting
surveys through regular interviews.

BENCHMARKING AND ENGINEERING

SPECIFICATION
The above diagram represents the dynamic aspects of the software system. It denotes the
message sequence between the different objects involved in the application rather than the
interlink between them. As we can see that the user enters the username and password to login,
and either an account is created by signing in.

After successful login, the user fills up the form and sets an account image and fills the feedback
form.

After this the whole activity is finished and finally closed.

The different types of technologies used to develop this app are:

• Android OS

• Eclipse IDE:An IDE for developers creating Android applications

• Android Visual Studio

• Programming Languages: XML,CSS ,Java and JavaScript are required to write the code.
CHAPTER-5

PRODUCT ARCHITECTURE
CHAPTER-6
Concept Generation

Architecture 1:

In architecture 1, the user firstly has to register, they either have to login or signup. If the user
has already registered earlier, they simply have to login with their email-id and password. If they
are going to register for the first time, a signup option would be provided.
After the registration process gets over, the user gets a form activity page in which they have to
provide the basic information and this information is further passed to the feedback activity page
in which the user has to give feedback.
After the feedback activity page, the user is directed to the account activity page which consists
of an option to upload image.
As soon as the image is uploaded the user clicks on the feedback button present at the bottom of
the account activity page and his suggestion is submitted.
Architecture 2:
In this architecture, the first page which appeares is the Home activity page, in which the user
either has to login or signup. Login page includes entering email id and password and signup
page involves entering user details and creating account.

After this activity is completed, the user is automatically directed to the feedback activity page.

Once the user has given the feedback, they click on the submit button and finally their suggestion
is recorded in database.
CHAPTER-7

CONCEPT SELECTION

Both the design depicts how one module passes on information to the next module.

In the first design the user first registers, either its logs in or signs up. The log in tab just needs
the email address and password from the user. And in the sign-up tab along with email id it
needs password confirmation. After this the first module passes this information to the form
activity area to fill the user details like (first name, last name, phone number, etc...). Then this is
passed to database and hence the feedback is taken. And for authorisation, user image is
uploaded and finally submitted.

In the second design, unlike the first design it doesn’t have a form filling activity, the user details
is taken in the sign up form. But it misses out on some crucial information. Hence, the feedback
is taken but user details are incomplete.

Therefore, the first design is selected as it is more reliable and more secured.
.
CHAPTER-9

FINAL PRODUCT

After continuous effort, the final product which came in hand was a complete Student Faculty
Document Sharing App with some features accepted and some eliminated.

The final product consists of a student faculty document sharing page where the user can rate
different facilities provided to him in an organization and the necessary suggestions which
should be considered by the organization to makes changes.

This app consists of some special features such as the selfie mode, i.e., at the time of uploading
picture, the user doesn’t have the option to choose the picture from the gallery, rather they can
take selfie and that picture is uploaded as his account picture.

It also consists of another special feature that it works in offline mode. This mode is useful
because the internet connection may not always be available to the user, so this feature is a great
help to the user so that the feedback can also be given even when there is no internet connection.
CHAPTER-10

CONCLUSION

In the existing system i.e. the one we are using in our college campus, maximum work goes manually

and also leads to error. In this proposed work we have presented the design and implementation of a

mobile application named as an android based mobile application for sharing the college/campus

activities. By this application student can get detailed information and may get updated.
CHAPTER-11

INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP LEARNING

As individuals, we have learnt a great thing with the progress of this application. Firstly, we have
learnt to use Android Studio and its different applications to make an android app. Our step by
step progress was remarkable.

Apart from individual learning, we learnt how to work in a group and divide our tasks and run
each task parallely. Each team member’s capability was noticed and each of us were assigned
with tasks that matched our capability.

Most importantly, we have learnt to interact with different kind of people and overcome our own
strength and weaknesses. We learnt good leadership skills and how to coordinate together to
achieve a common objective.

Finally we came up with a successful application named as ‘STUDENT FACULTY

DOCUMENT SHARING ANDROID APP’ which could be a great help to the interns of an
organization to rate the organization according to their individual experiences and this app would
take the rating activity to a next level in future.
