Ferrotect Zinc Phosphate Primer is a premium quality alkyd based rust inhibitive primer for priming on iron and
steel for non immersion condition. Suitable for use under a wide variety of conventional finishes combining
excellent adhesion and ease of application.

Recommended Usage
Recommended for use on general structural steel like bridges , cranes , towers , equipment , tanks , etc on
both interior and exterior surfaces and all suitably prepared non ferrous surfaces.

Surface Preparation:

1. Cleaning: Free the surface from grease, rust, moisture, loose particles and peeling/flaking paint. Oil and grease should be removed as per SSPC -SP1 solvent cleaning.

Application:

Stir thoroughly before use .Apply one or two coats of Ferrotect Zinc phosphate primer

Stability of Thinned Paint Use within 24 hrs.

• Substrate Temperature should be at least 10 0C. but not above 50 0C.

• Painting is not recommended if the moisture content and alkalinity of the surface is high.
Precautions while Painting
• Relative humidity should be below 85 %

• Please do not over-thin or over-extend the brush while painting.

Cleaning up equipments All equipments should be cleaned with J&N GP Thinner.

Post Application Instructions To remove stains, sponge clean with a mild soap solution and wipe clean. Before cleaning, please ensure a drying time of one week.
