b. Nira and Atul could have communicated their needs to each other
through mutual discussion and dialogue. Every communication has a pur-
pose, which can be for oneself, the other person, or both. Our feelings,
thoughts, and behaviors often stem from certain needs, though these
needs may not always be consciously expressed in our words or actions.
Needs aren't limited to material things; they also include physical or emo-
tional needs fulfilled through material means. For example, food is a tan-
gible item, but it meets physical needs like health, nutrition, and taste,
while emotionally it may fulfill needs like satisfaction, companionship, or
socializing. How we feel, whether positive or negative, often depends on
whether these emotional needs are fulfilled or unmet. In the scene, Nira
feels angry and hurt by Atul's behavior, even though her hurt is not en-
tirely justified. Atul tries to communicate with Nira during the break, but
since Nira doesn't respond, the communication isn't successful. If both
sides had engaged in meaningful communication, they could have ex-

sonal relationships. Similarly, when all members of society extend a help-
ing hand with empathy and cooperation, their relationships will become
