Communications to highlight the important achievements
and the best practices adopted by the Department.
This Patrika is published on quarterly basis and is available
on India Post Website and Social Media Handles of the
Department.
This is the Third Edition of e-PATRIKA which covers main
initiatives / events / achievements of Department of Posts
from July 2023 to September 2023.

3D Concrete Printing is a
fully automated building
construction technology,
wherein a robotic printer
prints or deposits the concrete
layer-by-layer as per 3D
model drawing fed into it.

Aatm Nirbhar

India Post signed an agreement with

Shiprocket to enable sellers using Shiprocket
platform to export their products through Dak
Ghar Niryat Kendra facilities in the post
offices. The collaboration will make it easier
for Artisans, weavers, SMEs to directly reach
the consumer (D2C) in Global Markets. The
agreement was signed in the presence of Shri
Alok Sharma, Director General Postal
Services and Shri Saahil Goel, CEO and Co-
founder, Shiprocket.

Empowering Local
Artisans and SMEs

To boost e-Commerce exports through vast Post Office network an MOU was signed
between Amazon Seller Services Pvt. Ltd. and India Post. This strategic partnership
will empower Local Artisans and SMEs from the last mile to take their products to
Global Markets. The MOU was signed in the presence of Shri Vineet Pandey,
Secretary, Department of Posts and Russel Grandinetti, Global Head, Amazon
Marketplace.

“HarGharTiranga” Campaign 2023

Under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, this
year, the Department of Posts organized more
than 7,500 Outreach Activities involving all
1.59 Lakh Post Offices across the country. 4.3
Lakh Postal employees took message of Har
Ghar Tiranga to every nook and corner of the
country. More than 30 lakh netizens were
reached through different social media
platforms. The Department delivered more than
1.45 Crore Flags this year.

TRANSFORMATIONAL
STEPS
Postal Life Insurance has recently initiated the
facility of direct payout of incentives to its Salesforce in
their Post Office Savings Account on a pilot basis in two
circles, namely Delhi and Uttarakhand, with plans to
expand to other circles in a staggered manner in the near
future. This innovative function will benefit about 2 lakh
of our devoted salesforce across India.
This automated pay-out will streamline the
system, eliminate administrative costs, increase
transparency, eliminate unnecessary delays & human
POSTAL LIFE INSURANCE (PLI) interference, resulting in a speedier and more secure
LAUNCHES DIRECT INCENTIVE transfer of incentives to their Post Office Savings
DISBURSEMENT FOR SALES FORCE accounts.

India Post in collaboration with Army Postal

Service and UIDAI started Aadhaar services for
Defence personnel.
The service will be available to tri-service
personnel and their families through 48 Field Post
Offices in the country. Shri Alok Sharma,
Director General Postal Services and Lt Gen
Rajinder Dewan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM,
Quartermaster General inaugurated first Aadhar
Enrolment Centre of this initiative at 1 CBPO,
New Delhi.

कीतिा पुरस्कार, राजभाषा कार्ाान्िर्न के क्षेत्र में भारि
सरकार िारा द्विर्ा जाने िािा सिोच्च पुरस्कार है । द्विनांक

2023 िक द्वहन्िी पििाड़े का आर्ोजन द्वकर्ा गर्ा । इस
िौरान वितभन्न प्रतिर्ोतगिाएं आर्ोजजि की गई ।

MAIL MONITORING
UNITS
A step towards Customer Satisfaction
In order to have a focused attention on booking, processing, transmission and
delivery of Mail & Parcel, dedicated units called Mail Monitoring Units (MMUs)
have been set up at Directorate, Circle, Region and Division level with effect from
17th July, 2023.
The objective of MMUs is to monitor pick-up, booking, processing, transmission
& delivery of Mail & Parcels as per the defined parameters on a day-to-day basis
and to take immediate necessary remedial action in case of any deviation.
Separate infrastructure and dedicated manpower have been provided to the Mail
Monitoring Units for effective monitoring of mail operations in the Circle.
MMUs will also guide the field staff to work as per the prescribed Standard
Operating Procedures so as to improve delivery efficiency of Mail & Parcels across
the country.

Training programme for identified Master

Trainers in connection with setting up of
Mail Monitoring Units in the Circles have
been conducted at RAKNPA Ghaziabad
and Postal Training Centre,
Madurai. Subsequently, training
programme for MMU staff has been
conducted by the Master Trainers in their
respective circles.
