* Comparative means to compare between 2

two people or two animals or two things

* There are three steps to form comparative:

1. adjective

2. er

3. than

e.g. Mary is tall er than Mona.

Rules:

1. If the adjective ends with (y) and before it there is a consonant, we

cross (y) and add (ier)

e.g. heavy heavier than

The box is heavier than the bag.

2. If the adjective ends with (g, m, n, p, t)and before it there is one

vowel, we double the last letter before adding (er)

e.g. thin thinner than fat fatter than

Ex: Mina is thinner than Peter.

3. If the adjective ends with (e), we just put (r)
