4. Consolidate your ideas about Paulo Freire’s statement into three sentences.

We agree with the notion that only through communication can human life hold meaning because
it is a powerful tool for humanity to function, more than merely exchanging information and
thoughts but also expressing ourselves and our inner self. It is a universal thing, every day we use
it to impart our knowledge, our aspirations and goals in life. In a classroom situation, the teacher
can’t fulfill his duty to teach and share his wisdom if he won’t communicate with his students,
which is why communication plays a crucial role in achieving our true purpose and meaning in life.

5. Write a definition that would embody everything that you have discussed regarding
communication. Be short but concise and complete.
Communication is the process of expressing opinions between two or more people about a certain
topic. It is an exchange of ideas and information which could either be verbal or non-verbal cues
such as body language, facial expression, attentiveness, eye contact, and distraction.
Communication is usually composed of a listener and a speaker, wherein the speaker formulate
and deliver the messages through various channels which then enables the listener to digest the
messages and resort to feedback. It also pulls individuals together and connects to each other.
