1. (a) What is Judicial Separation? Explain the grounds for Judicial Separation with the 2+5
help of case laws.
(b) Trace out the difference between Judicial Separation and Divorce. 3

2. (a) Discuss the rights of wife. Children and aged Parents in respect of the 2+2+2
Maintenance.
(b) What are the aims and objectives of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and 4
Senior Citizens Act, 2007?

3. (a) Differentiate between the Mitakshara and the Dayabhaga School of Hindu Law in 6
relation to the Joint Property and Inheritance.
(b) Discuss the various Sub Schools of Mitakshara under the Hindu Law. 4

4. (a) Rohit, a boy of 20 years marries Reema, who is of 17 years. Both Rohit and 3
Reema are Hindu by religion.
Decide the validity of the above-mentioned marriage under the Hindi Marriage
Act, 1955 with reasons.
(b) Sameer got married with Sheetal. They were living happily together. After three 3
months of their marriage. Sameer came to know that Sheetal was pregnant at the
time of the marriage itself and she along with her parents conceals the fact from
him.
Decide whether the above-mentioned marriage is valid or not under the Hindi
Marriage Act, 1955 with reasons.
(c) Examine the nature and scope of restitution of conjugal rights under the Hindu 4
Marriage Act, 1955.

(b) Explain the limitations to the Effects of an Adoption under the Hindu Adoption 4
and Maintenance Act, 1956

6. (a) Explain the rights of daughters as Coparceners after the amendment of 2005. 4
(b) Examine the Constitutional Validity of Section 6 of the Hindu Minority and 6
Guardianship Act, 1956 with the help of relevant Case law.

7. Write short notes on any four 5×4 = 20


(a) Legitimacy of the Children born out of void and voidable marriages.
(b) Testamentary Guardian.
(c) Divorce by Mutual Consent.
(d) Male and Female Intestate Succession.
(e) Custom as a Source of Law.
(f) Alienation by Karta.
