Technology Scholarship Act of 1994
• Provides for scholarships to talented
and deserving students whose
families’ socio-economic status do
not exceed the set cut-off values of
certain indicators.

• Awarded to students with high
aptitude in Science and Mathematics
and are willing to pursue careers in
the fields of science and technology.

deserving students whose families’ socio-
economic status does not exceed the set
cut-off values of certain indicators.
Qualifiers must pursue priority fields of
study in the basic sciences, engineering,

aptitude in science and mathematics and are willing
to pursue careers in the fields of science and
technology.

Act of 2013”
● Aims to strengthen the country’s science and
technology education by fast-tracking graduates
in the sciences, mathematics and engineering
who shall teach science and mathematics in
secondary schools throughout the country

General Criteria for Eligibility
✓ Poor talented and deserving student who belongs to a
family whose socio-economic status does not exceed the
set values of certain indicators;

✓ Member of the top five percent (5%) of the Non-STEM

strand senior high school graduating class or member of
the STEM strand senior high school

✓ natural-born Filipino citizen; and

✓ resident of the municipality for the last 4 years as attested

by the barangay;

Development (COD) for the degree program the
scholar intends to enroll in.
▪ Accredited at least Level III by the Federation of
Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for the
degree program the scholar intends to enroll in.

Return of Service Condition

➢ Upon completion of the S&T program, the scholar-

graduate shall return service in the country on a
full-time basis, preferably in his/her home region,
and preferably along his/her field of
specialization, for a minimum period equivalent
to the length of time he/she enjoyed the
scholarship.
