Organisational Behaviour – Dec 21

Answer 1:

INTRODUCTION
Respect for the elderly, honesty, and concern for others and the environment are among our
basic principles. Values that are most important to us take precedence over others while making
difficult decisions. Organizations, like individuals, have the option of adopting a set of values.
Knowledge of a company's ideals and its workers' behaviour is necessary for success in an
organisation. We form our opinions on people, events, and other issues based on what others
say. Depending on how we see the value of decision-making processes in the workplace, its
significance may change. In our interactions with colleagues and clients, our sentiments for
others may play a role. Working for a company necessitates that we be able to meet all of our
job responsibilities and deliver on them effectively. You need more than just a broad education
to be more productive; you also need specialised additional talents. In the following sections,
we'll discuss a couple of these talents in further detail.

CONCEPT & APPLICATION

The following abilities are necessary for a good performance:
It is the capacity to recognise and identify "a sensation as it arises." Emotional awareness They
are self-assured and capable of taking criticism in stride because of their self-assurance and
confidence. The ability to manage and redirect one's emotions is a crucial part of self-
regulation. Confidence, an openness to new ideas, and a willingness to accept the risk of failure
are among these characteristics.

Ability to feel and care about others is referred to as "empathy." When it comes to helping
others grow, these folks are really masters. A person's capacity to form and sustain relationships
with others is referred to as having social skills. Those who work with these people are experts
in persuasion and charm. Social knowledge is the only way to handle social and professional
relationships efficiently.

A strong capacity to think critically helped me improve my performance at work. In addition

to having an exceptional memory, analytical talents, and the ability to solve issues, one must
have cognitive abilities. Having these qualities enables one to evaluate all possibilities and

come up with the greatest feasible answer to a situation. You should be able to play a range of
numerical games and analyse all possible outcomes before making a decision based on the
nature of your job.

When it comes to being able to work effectively and efficiently without taking breaks, etc.,
physical ability is equally as vital as cerebral capability. If you want to be more productive at
work, you need to take better care of your physical health.

If you want to succeed in business, you'll need to keep your skills up to date. For the sake of
your career success, you'll need to be able to learn new things quickly. Having a variety of jobs
might be useful but being able to quickly learn new abilities and fulfil your responsibilities is
much preferable. There must be no delay in putting your education into practise after
graduating from college or university. Students who are effective communicators and good
listeners are more likely to succeed in school. My prowess at learning new things rapidly paid
dividends in my career.

Talent and work compatibility:

If your qualifications don't match those of the post, you'll be unable to complete your task.
Numerous positions in the financial industry need excellent numerical and analytical abilities,
as well as the capacity to think logically and analytically. It will be difficult to fulfil all of your
responsibilities if you lack specific expertise. It is essential that an employee's skills be matched
to the job requirements. A worker's performance will decrease if their abilities fall short of the
minimum requirements of the position. The workplace may be inefficient if an employee's
talents exceed what is needed of them in their employment.

Customers are something you'll have to deal with if you work as a salesperson for a company.
The ability to remember knowledge, think swiftly, and persuade others is essential to success.
Those who possess these talents are also needed, though. Another way of putting it is that you
should be able to quickly grasp and put into practise the company's policies

It is essential for soldiers to have the physical attributes indicated above plus endurance and
stamina so that they can fulfil their responsibilities in a variety of situations. To work at a
dancing studio, you need to be active and flexible.
Before applying for a job, it is essential that you evaluate your skills. Having easy access to the
materials you need to complete your project is a huge advantage.

Answer 2:

INTRODUCTION
For Robbins, the process by which humans organise and interpret their sensory experiences is
the means by which they get meaning from the world around them. People and situations in
the recipient's immediate surroundings are diverse. Perception is essential to daily life and
business administration. 'Perceived'

CONCEPT & APPLICATION

The value is viewed in this way:

• If we want to be successful as a business, we must look to the future and consider what will
happen.
• This might provide a fresh look at the situation's potential benefits and drawbacks.
• People are driven to learn more about the world they live in in order to make better rational
decisions.

Our perceptions of the environment and our personnel's abilities to accomplish our goals are
both included in the planning process.

The strengths of individuals and the needs of the organisation are the foundations upon which
organisational structures are built. Thus, a company may have many alternative organisational
structures.

A common practise at our company is to hire employees depending on how they will be seen
and treated by others.

Public image management is a hot topic right now.

Workplace dynamics have changed significantly as a result of employees being forced to work
from home owing to the Corona virus. All elements of staff development and recruitment are
affected by the Corona virus. As a result, it is more difficult for those who work from home to
operate as a cohesive unit.

Our managers consistently painted a positive picture of our clients' employees and guests in
front of our clients. Since the separation would only last a few days, it doesn't matter whether
you work from home or not.

People's views of the world may be changed in the following ways:

Our judgments may be influenced by both our aware and unconscious selves, if this is the case.
Decision-making is a multi-step process that is influenced by several factors. Or, to put it
another way, you try to see the bright side of any situation you find yourself in. Workers are
encouraged to work hard if management focus on the positive qualities of them instead of
concentrating on the bad.

Organize the components in your thoughts so that others may comprehend what you've
selected. The conceptual framework may be used to organise data or inputs based on
appearance, interactions with others, social roles, or any other feature.. Workers must be
assigned duties according to their abilities and past competence in this difficult situation.

To make meaning of what we've learned, we must first understand what we've learned and how
it applies to our lives. With more knowledge, we are able to make better decisions. Identifying
incentives Evaluations at the end of a project assist assess if the decisions made were right or
not.

The following indicators affect how others see you:

If a person has a high degree of self-awareness, the primacy effect, the recency effect, and
initial assumptions may prevent them from seeing others clearly. This must be made clear to
everyone and everyone must take ownership of the process. It is important to understand when
and how perceptual mistakes might lead to inaccurate distortions of a situation in order to
effectively manage perception

People's opinions should be backed up with evidence from a variety of sources, including their
own research. We all have our own opinions and perceptions about the people and events in
the world around us. However, people should examine their own views before making
judgements. To minimise their own preconceptions, people may want to examine the opinions
of those around them.

It's important not to judge people or things until you've done your due diligence and thoroughly
researched them. Instead, than relying on the views of others, it is preferable to have an
understanding of their target's viewpoint. You can't utilise your biases about someone if you
haven't met them face-to-face.

You must rise above even though a single incident has the potential to have a long-lasting
impact on you. Trying to understand the aim without being influenced by one's own feelings
or beliefs is essential. A person, object, or event should not be judged by how you feel about
them. When you're engaging with people, it's a bad idea to just concentrate on your own
feelings.

The following are examples of perceptual errors to avoid: Misinterpretations of perceptual

experience are only one sort of perceptual distortion. Human biases and visual disturbances
may be caused by perceptual distortions, according to a new study. Both stereotyping and the
halo effect may lead to stereotypes being imposed on people, things, and even events.

CONCLUSION

Even if you work from home, you still need to interact with your coworkers and manage
perceptions. Getting along with others requires the ability to cope with other people's emotions
and ideas. Our supervisors may have to exert control over our ideas and sentiments at some
point in our employment.

Answer 3.A.:

INTRODUCTION
Let go of our previous assumptions and be open to new experiences if you want to develop
yourself. According on your point of view, you may either think it's fantastic or awful. A
person's personality has an impact on their capacity to adjust to new situations. Change will
have an effect on those who can't let go. The flexibility to change course when necessary is
essential for success. With the ability and motivation to acquire new skills, one may grow
one's knowledge and skill set from the ground up. When it comes to new initiatives, the staff
at Nelson & Murdock will have to re-learn old concepts and learn new ones. In this case, an
effective learning theory is required.

CONCEPT & APPLICATION

If Nikita's staff need to swiftly acquire new leadership behaviours, the social learning theory
stated in the question may be useful.

As a means of completing tasks more quickly, the educational social philosophy emphasizes
the significance of education.

Bandura introduced the concept of social learning for the first time. Most of our choices are
based on our gut feelings. People's behaviour is impacted by their cognitive, behavioral, and
contextual elements in accordance with the social theory of learning. The four stages of social
education are as follows:

A model can only teach you as much as you concentrate on the most important features of it.
Paying attention is a must for learning anything. Observational learning suffers as a result of

6
Organisational Behaviour – Dec 21

a lack of focus. Those who find the subject matter interesting or novel are more likely to
concentrate on learning.

Effectiveness is determined by the ability of a subject to recall the model's behaviour after its
removal.

• The model's lessons must be put into practice in the real world. The pupils are then expected
to follow in their professors' footsteps. You're more likely to hear from a company after
making a purchase as a result of viewing an advertisement.

• Using positive incentives and awards to motivate employees is a typical practice for
improving operations. It's also vital to have a burning desire to follow in the footsteps of your
heroes. People's motivation may be influenced through reward and punishment systems. As a
result, teachers may award or reprimand students depending on their classroom performance.

CONCLUSION

A good way to acquire new skills is to pay attention to how other people behave. When
someone imitates anything, they observe for the first time, their behaviour is shaped. This
kind of learning might be seen as an observational or societal process. It is not necessary to
provide additional instruction for secondary learning such as modelling. Another person may
be following your lead without your knowledge. Modelling may be used in a variety of ways
to influence behaviour, teach new skills, or increase the frequency of an existing one.

Answer 3.B.:

INTRODUCTION

Learning:

Everything depends on your ability to do a variety of duties and your speed at learning new
things. We take into consideration both what a person already knows and what they can learn
when judging their abilities. In order to keep ourselves motivated, we must strive for a goal
that matters to us personally. Working on something that doesn't thrill us is a no-go. We're
not going to be deterred by obstacles.

7
Organisational Behaviour – Dec 21

CONCEPT & APPLICATION

Enhancing one's mental clarity

The ability to engage in a certain kind of behaviour may be enhanced by using strengthening
tactics. Consequences may influence (reinforce) people's behaviour in line with the principle
of enforcement. As a general rule, people tend to keep doing what they've already perfected.
In order to inspire others, it's more than a simple idea.

The following ideas are included in reinforcement theory:

Workers are more inclined to follow out their ideas if they get good feedback.

Remove any circumstances or triggers that might promote negative behaviour in your
employees.

An employee's job will be terminated if he or she does not meet expectations. That is to say,
if someone is fired for bad behaviour, they will be better behaved when they are reinstated.

A worse form of retribution is firing a worker. In most cases, this method should not be used
to modify detrimental behaviours.

In order to influence behaviour, it is possible to use the reward principle.

For others, changing one's behaviour might be a driving force. Incentives and rewards may
have a significant impact on employee behaviour. When it comes to reinforcing learning,
praising and thanking students may be quite beneficial. If you want to stop your child from
behaving in a bad way, you may employ negative reinforcement.

For this reason, the term "behaviour change theory" is commonly used to define the term
"enhancement theory." Since one's behaviour is impacted by one's surroundings, learning is
affected by it. As a result of the environment, people learn to maximise favorable results and
minimize bad ones.

CONCLUSION

It is possible to influence one's behaviour or reaction patterns by providing new knowledge

and rewarding one's efforts. Humans cannot be coerced to do what they want. People may be
encouraged to alter their behaviour via the application of reinforcement theory, which
involves altering their surroundings and rewarding them for their new behaviour. There will

ultimately be a shift from unwanted or undesired behaviour to something more desirable.

There are a number of circumstances where behaviour modification may be applied. Using it
may help a child's misbehaviour or an employee's performance.
