Ladies and gentlemen..
Have you ever been called "fat"?
Have you ever been called "black"?
Has someone made you feel totally insecure about your appearance?
It's simple, at the first time you see me, you will definitely see the flaws in my physical
appearance, right? whether it's my weight, my height, or my skin color.
Yeah, it’s me. My name is _________________. I am _______________ years old. I am
from Islamic junior high school manba’ul ulum. I am not the son of a policeman or a
guidance counselor. I'm just a student who doesn't like bullying in the environment around
me, especially at school. So, it's not wrong if I talk about bullying based on the facts that
happened.
Bullying is a deliberate act of harm that occurs repeatedly due to differences in power. The
majority of us have definitely been bullied, even if only once in our life. It doesn’t feel good,
right? we feel insecure, humiliated and deeply uncomfortable. At the end, it can destroy us
mentally and physically.
Ladies and gentlemen..
Complaint data from KPAI shows that bullying cases in early 2024 have reached 141 cases.
Of all the complaints, 35 percent occurred within the school environment. The results show
that bullying in school environment tends to be carried out in groups. This is the impact of
weak early detection of the growth of social circles that have a negative influence. The large
number of cases of bullying that occur in the school environment is a concern for all school
members. Because school is the second place for children to spend their time. Therefore,
schools must be safe and comfortable for children.
Bullying can have dangerous and long-term impacts on the victim. not only children, but
adults too. Have you ever heard a case of bullying by prospective doctor students at a
university in Indonesia? It's a fact that bullying doesn't look at age. Bullying victims can
experience mental and emotional health problems, including depression and anxiety. On the
one hand, they may prefer to use drugs as self-sedation. And we know that drugs can reduce
our achievements in school.
Ladies and gentlemen..
Each of us has the right to prevent bullying. Like us as a junior high school student.
1) First and foremost, starting from ourselves. Educate ourselves about bullying by
reading and sharing informational content with friends.
2) The second, create mutually supportive relationships by involving all school
members.
3) The last one, give motivation to our friends who might easily get bullied so that they
want to interact more actively. Don't forget to always remind other friends to be nice
to that person.
In conclusion, we are all equal in the sight of God. The only difference is faith and piety.
Likewise in life, all students have the right to education and protection from all forms of
physical, mental violence, damage or abuse. Bullying must stop!
As I close, I encourage you all to take the lessons we’ve discussed today and put them into
action. Let’s make a commitment to ourselves and to each other to prevent bullying anywhere
