PROFILE - JAPANESE LANGUGE SCHOOL (JLS)

INTRODUCTION:
The Japanese Language School ("JLS") established in 1984, and is the first organized Japanese language institute in Bangalore. The basic and advanced programmes of the school were put together by the late H. Ganesh, a Japanese teacher, Japan expert and educator of great repute. JLS has been serving the Indian industry, students and general public for over 25 years, and has trained over 14,000 individuals in South India (mainly Bangalore). In this capacity JLS can take justifiable pride in playing a vital role in bringing India and Japan closer.

JAPANESE LANGUAGE TEACHING SERVICES:


It offers both conversational courses and JLPT courses tailored to the needs of Indians, who are concerned with Japanese industry and trade. In-house corporate training programs are also offered for groups of up to 15 at the premises of the sponsoring companies.

TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION SERVICES:


With a panel of experts in a wide range of subject specialization, we undertake translation assignments from Japanese to English and vice versa. Our services include translations of Engineering Drawings, Software, Manuals, Technical Literature, Patents, standards and Specifications etc., which are delivered in the client's required output. Our interpretation services extend from Board Room level negotiations and simultaneous interpreters, to shop floor discussions.

CROSS-CULTURAL AWARENESS TRAINING SERVICES:


Japanese Language School is in a position to train sponsoring company candidates in behavioural norms and cultural sensitivities required for their dealing with the Japanese. Discovering Japan- includes an introduction to Japan with basic facts and information, the history of Japan, the Japanese people, the Japanese government and economic policy, business with the Japanese, the social side of Japan, Do's and Don'ts of Japan etc. Ideal for your Japan-going staff. Dealing with Japan- includes an in-depth study into business etiquette in Japan, specific training to negotiate with the Japanese, including selecting your team, preparation required, concluding deals and follow-up. Catered to the client's Japan-facing decision makers.

INFORMATIONAL SERVICES:
This includes the understanding and analyses of the Japanese market, regulatory conditions, identification of potential business opportunities for clients, listing of Purchasers/ Vendors / Potential partners and any other required research activity.

REPRESENTATION FOR JAPANESE FIRMS:


We are geared to represent Japanese business houses in Bangalore on a retainer basis to take care of their off-shore work, import/export activities, inspections, market studies, information exchange, negotiations, public relations and local arrangements for periodic visits of their executives.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES FOR THE JAPANESE:


For the Japanese persons and their families staying in Bangalore, we offer English language courses designed to suit their levels of mastery. The teaching is generally on an individual basis allowing us to attend to the requirements and availability of time to each student, Group training in English can be undertaken for large companies, under special circumstances.
