For EACH action:
Specific legal arguments: 100 to 150 words

Action (Taken from column 4 of risk Remind staff that they could not try to lift object that appear heavy to handle
assessment)

Specific legal arguments According to ILO Convention C155, employers are required to provide a secure working
environment to take precautions to avoid accidents and injuris .particuraly those involving manual
handling
According to ILO Recommendation R196.it suggest that companies identify and evaluate the risk
associated with manual handling ,take steps to decrease those risks, and provide workers with
training and information.
According to ILO Recommendation R171, employers should take measures to minimize worker
weariness which might raise the risk of work place accidents, including those involving manual
handling
Consideration of likelihood AND severity Back pain from handling heavy object , Hand injuries
Use of manual handling or office equipment which they appear likelihood of the back pain injure is
 types of injury or ill health
likely and severity depends on the time period how many time period they work.
 number of workers at risk
 how often the activity is carried

Only two worker who come into contact with heavy object and deliveries of paper
out
The risk is spread throughout the two worker especially in manual handling
 how widespread the risk is
How effective the action is likely to be in
The best way to eliminate the risk and hazard of manual handling is by conveyor system to
controlling the risk. This should include:
transport deliveries of paper or office equipment .it can be really helpful for worker by preventing
 the intended impact of the action; them from lifting heavy loads and lowering the likelihood of manual handling injuries.
 justification for the timescale that
I have given a time frame of one week for installing a conveyor system to transport paper deliveries
you indicated in your risk
and office equipment .It will take this time to get permission and a budget allociation from the
assessment; and
manager Install a conveyor system ,and make the necessary arrangements for it
 whether you think the action will
fully control the risk I believe installing a conveyor system can completely eliminate the hazard and risk of manual
handling if performed correctly and on time
