DO YOU TRUST GOD?

Proverbs 3:5-6
Illustration- A man was once walking along cliff…

Trust, trust, trust it builds relationship, families, friendship but when its broken, most likely it
will never be restored again; but we have One who’s Trust is never ending and unfailing.
Proposition God calls us to fully trust Him in every circumstance, not relying on our own
understanding but placing our confidence in His wisdom, faithfulness, and love.
Declaration When we choose to trust God completely, we experience His peace, guidance, and
strength, even in the face of life’s uncertainties and challenges.
For God to fulfill His plan and purpose in our lives we should whole heartedly lean on Him,
putting aside the dependance we have on our intellect and understanding.
It’s sad that we Christians fall and struggle in giving our all to Christ. We still hold on to our
own self yet we have a Sovereign, All knowing and All wise God. Let’s look at three areas that
we ought to trust God;
1. Trust God as your guide( Proverbs 3:1-3)
Are you trusting God to direct your path rand all your steps?
Proverbs 3:1-3 My son, forget not my law; But let thine heart keep my
commandments:2 For length of days, and long life, And peace, shall they add to thee. 3
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: Bind them about thy neck; Write them upon
the table of thine heart:4 So shalt thou find favor and good understanding In the sight of
God and man.
It’s only through knowing and being nourished by God’s word and in prayer that we are submitting
into God’s will, plan and purpose that he has for us. Though it’s one thing to know and another to
obey His word.
Will you resolve to trust God to guide each step of your life even though the path He has for you
may be steep? or will you lean on your own way?

2. Trust God when trials come(James 1:2-4)

God does not promise a smooth and problem free life. Strong winds and storms rage around us;
but His mercies are new each morning and He gives us a song of praise to sing at the end of the
day. He promises to be there for us in trying times if we trust Him.( Hebrews 13:5)
Job 13:15, 23:8-10
Are you trusting God in hardships of this life and your Christian walk? Or are you looking to
yourself to overcome.
3. Trust God with your life(Isaiah 55:8-9)
What is it that you are holding on?(fear, worry, anxiety) Let it go and learn to learn to lean on
God’s promises even when nothing makes sense at all. He is a God who cannot lie and so He
cannot fail.
Job 12:10, Acts 17:10, Job 19:25
This trust helps us surrender our desires and plans to God, believing that His ways are higher and
that He is working all things for our good and for His glory(Romans 8:28).

Conclusion
God is not a distant, unreachable entity, but a loving Father who delights in guiding His children.
He's there in our moments of joy, and He's there in our moments of sorrow. He's there when we're
strong, and He's there when we're weak. He's there when we succeed, and He's there when we fail.
He's always there, loving us, guiding us, and providing for us, but the question is do we trust
Him? If not will you Trust Him today?
