Assalamualaikum wr. wb.

Hallo everyone. good morning.let me introduce myself first. My name is Tasya Zahwa
Azzahra, and you can call me Tasya. I am a student of Semarang State Polytechnic, majoring
in electrical engineering, informatics engineering study program, from IK2A class, and I will
describe about computer cable and connectors.
The cable serves as a conductor of signals, electric current, and data to and from electronic
equipment. While the connector is a connecting device between one equipment and other
equipment that is plugged into the port of each equipment. Cables and connectors function as
a connecting medium between computers and other computers or with other network
equipment used to form a network.
types of computer cables and connectors include:
1. VGA (Video Graphic Array)

This VGA cable is a standard cable used to connect a computer to a monitor to

display the ongoing process in visual form.
2. DVI (Digital Visual Interface)

used to convert analog signals to digital, which are usually displayed via LCD.
3. HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface)

Almost similar but different from VGA and VDI, because HDMI can be used to send
signals in the form of video and audio simultaneously.
4. USB (Universal Serial Bus)

USB or "Universal Serial Bus" is a cable that functions for connecting devices
between computers and auxiliary devices such as cameras, speakers, mice, printers,
and so on.
5. IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics)

The IDE cable is used to connect the hard disk hardware and also the Optical Drive
(DVD) to the motherboard.

Each cable and connectors have its own characteristics, for examples VGA and
HDMI cable and USB and lightning cable and many more. Each of those cables have
a different shape and how many pins it has, but all cable has one thing in common,
and that is gender. “Male” cable refers to connector’s side with pins while “female”
refers to receptacle side.

Almost all electronic devices need cable and connector, like smartphone that use USB
type C and lightning, laptop that use USB type A and HDMI, router and switch that
use ethernet. Peripheral devices such as keyboard and computer mouse mostly use
USB..

okey, that's a description about computer cable and connectors., thanks for your
attention, see you
