 Introduction
Recent years have seen a remarkable increase in number of microbi-
al genomes sequenced inline with improvements in high-throughput
DNA sequencing technologies. Metagenomics applies a suite of
genomic technologies and bioinformatics tools to directly access
the genetic content of entire communities of organisms. It is also
known as environmental genomics, eco-genomics or community
genomics.

This training program aims to provide a comprehensive view of the

main facets involved in theoretical and practical aspects of this very
rapidly advancing field by providing insight into basic concepts of
metagenomics for exploring microbial system along with advances
in computational and statistical methodologies and tools. associated

जैि सूचना विज्ञान िस्तुतः जीि विज्ञान, कांप्यूटर विज्ञान और साांख्ययकी का

अांतःविषय क्षेत्र है । वपछले िो ििकों के िौरान जैविक विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में बहृ ि
डेटा उत्पन्न ककया गया ख्जसमें सबसे पहले जीिों के ख्जनोम अनुक्रमण की
विषय में जानकारी प्राप्त की गई। इसके उपरान्त इन प्राप्त जानकाररयों को
उच्च प्रयोगात्मक तकनीक से जैि प्रौद्योगगकी अनुसांधान प्रयोगिालाओां में
ककये गये प्रयोगों तथा इसके प्रभािों की गनतिीलता का अध्ययन ककया जा रहा
है । जैविक अनुसांधान के क्षेत्र में विशभन्न जैिसूचना विज्ञान तकनीकों/ टूल्स के
प्रयोग, डेटा की सांचयन एिां पुनःप्राख्प्त, विश्लेषण, एनोटे सन और पररणाम के
अपनी सम्पण
ू त
ि ा में जैविक प्रणाशलयों को बेहतर ढां ग में समझने में सहायक है ।
इससे दटकाऊ कृवष के शलए टूल्स और तकनीकों के विकास को बढािा शमलेगा।
इस प्रशिक्षण का उद्देश्य ओशमक्स डेटा विश्लेषण और कृवष में इसके अनुप्रयोगों
का अिलोकन प्रिान करना है । इस प्रशिक्षण में मुयय रूप से जीनोशमक्स,
ट्ाांख्स्क्रप्टोशमक्स, मेटाजीनोशमक्स और प्रोदटओशमक्स डेटा विश्लेषण से सांबांगधत
मॉड्यूल िाशमल हैं। कृवष जैि सूचना विज्ञान से सांबांगधत अिधारणाओां, मुद्दों

उन्नत क्लस्टर के साथ एक उच्च प्रदशवन लेने को समद्ध
ृ करने के शलए वििेकपूणि रूप में सांलयन ककया गया था। सांस्थान
