Company Profile

About Us

Chand Engineering specializes in the design and manufacture of support systems for all types of piping
applications, vibration isolation systems for mechanical equipment and elastomeric / stainless steel pipe
expansion joints. We also manufacture an extensive range of piping, ducting and damper accessories for
HVAC installations.

Established in 1980, the company today employs over 500 full time staff at its highly diversified 56000m2
manufacturing facility in Northern India.

Our products are sold under our trademark WEICCO, which is a trusted name for high quality project
supplies serving the HVAC, Pipeline Installation, Plumbing and Vibration Isolation segments. The sectors
covered include Building Services, Oil / LNG pipelines, Water Distribution, Sewage Treatment, Industrial
Process Piping, Refineries, Power Generation, Marine installations.

WEICCO is the largest range of accessories for commercial mechanical installations offered by any single
manufacturer today.

WEICCO products are primarily exported, with the key markets being in the Middle East region. They
have been used on a very large number of prestigious projects and are widely specified by leading design
consultants and approved with relevant government departments. In addition, we are OEM manufacturers
for international companies in Europe, Australia and the Middle East, operating in a variety of sectors.

Technical Proficiency

Our key competence, based on which we strive to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, is the
strong foundation of technical proficiency on which the organization is built. With a core of senior industry
experienced engineers and highly qualified production / R&D personnel, we are able to offer three
significant advantages to our customers :

Complete Solutions – We can interact with the project designer / customer to offer complete subsystems
for pipe support and vibration isolation, tailored to the specific needs of the project. These include riser
piping support systems, seismic restraint systems, plant room isolation systems etc.

Enhanced / Innovative Products – The in-depth understanding of product applications coupled with
constant market interface helps us identify emerging or unfulfilled customer needs efficiently. We utilize
this knowledge to incorporate design features which frequently exceed standards’ stipulations and go
beyond industry norms. We also have a few product innovations to our credit.

Customization – Large projects generally require some specially developed products to meet the specific
needs of the job. We are geared to work with the project designer to develop customized products which
help improve the quality of the job.

Our manufacturing infrastructure is exceptionally diversified and versatile. The complete process chain for
all our products - from making of dies to surface finishing - is carried out in-house. As a matter of policy,
we continually invest in new technology. This facility and expertise enable us to offer :

Large Product Range – WEICCO is the largest range of accessories for commercial mechanical
installations offered by a single manufacturer.

Product Quality – By internalizing all relevant production processes, we have minimized dependence on
external sources and thereby achieved a high degree of control over quality.

Rapid Product Development – Where customized products are required, we are able to respond with
prototypes quickly since every aspect from die-making to finishing is under our control.

Low lead times – We are fully geared to meet tight project delivery schedules required by our customers.

Quality Assurance

When specifying or buying any product manufactured by Chand Engineering, you can be assured that
product quality comes as standard. Our commitment to quality has been long-standing and unwavering.
Salient aspects of our Quality Management program :
• ISO 9001 : 2008 certified quality management system.
• Extensive in-house testing facilities have been created. The equipment is all traceable to national
standards and certified by government approved calibration bodies. This includes equipment for
Mechanical Properties Testing (UTM), Computerized Spring Testing, Metallic Coating Thickness
Testing (Coulometric, Salt Spray, X-Ray), Elastomer Properties Testing (hardness, aging, tensile
strength, elongation), Hydrostatic Pressure Testing, X-Ray Welding Inspection etc.
• Continuous process improvement, with an emphasis on process automation.
• We follow a system of 100% outgoing finished goods inspection for most of our products.
• Pipe Hangers used for sprinkler system applications are Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed.
• Compliance with international product standards wherever applicable – for example, MSS-
SP58,MSS-SP69 for pipe hangers & supports, ASTM B633 (SC3) for electrogalvanizing, ASTM
B117 (1000 hours) for epoxy coating, BS 1726 (Part 1) and SAE recommendations for spring
design, ASTM F 1123-87 and EJMA 8 for expansion joints etc.
• ISO 14001: 2004 certified environmental management system.

DRAFT WARRANTY
 WARRANTY CERTIFICATE

We hereby confirm that the WEICCO Pipe Supports are warranted for a period of 12 months from the
date of handing over of the project. This warranty covers replacement of defec ve parts only and does
not include any labor charges or consumables.

General Condi ons:-

1) This warranty extends to the original customer purchaser provided that the product has been
installed according to WEICCO recommenda ons & specifica ons.

2) There shall be no obliga on under this warranty, if the WEICCO Pipe Supports are subject to
damage while storing in your premises, or at site or was improperly maintained, serviced or
repaired by any third party or if it was subject to misuse, neglect, altera ons, floods, acts of God
and is restricted to items supplied by us only.

APPROVAL COPIES
1. All clamps and supports shall be hot dip galvanized and tested in accordance to ISO 1460. Submit the
supporting test certificates on delivery.
2.Contractor shall submit type of supports proposed, schedule showing the spacing and loading of each supports.
4.Bill of lading and country of origin shall be submitted on delivery of the materials.
5.Clevis clamp up to 50 mm and above 50 mm U strap with trapeze support to be followed.(Chilled water indoor
applications)
6.U strap with floor mounted support for out door applications.
7.Size of support and rubber inserts shall be suitable and as per approved drawings.
