Scheme Name: PM Internship Scheme 2024
Launched by: Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India.
Launch Date: 5.10.2024
Aim : This ambitious initiative, managed through an online portal, aims to provide one
crore young people with valuable internship opportunities over the next five years. The
goal is to give them exposure to diverse business environments and a variety of
professions. To assist / guide youth with the tools which will enhance the employability
skills they need to enter companies, with a tailored experience.
Target : 1.25 lakhs beneficiaries
Eligibility Qualification : Matriculation / ITI in relevant trade / Diploma / Bachelor’s
degree
Age: 21 to 24 years
Period of Training: 12 months.
Salary / Stipend: Rs 5000 by Central Govt direct to Bank account. One-time payment
of Rs 6000.
Industries: 24 different sectors – includes financial services, supply chain, hospitality,
travel, automotive, energy, etc.
Participating Companies: Companies were selected based on their corporate social
responsibility (CSR) spending over the last three years, ensuring participants are
placed with socially and ethically responsible organizations. Leading 500 companies
in India.

Required Documents : 1. Aadhaar card. 2. Educational certificates (completion or

Ineligibility Criteria: You are not eligible for the scheme if:
1. You hold advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, PhD) or professional certifications
(e.g., CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS).
2. You are already participating in a government-funded skill development,
apprenticeship, or training program.
3. Your family’s annual income exceeds ₹8 lakh in the fiscal year 2023-2024.
4. You or your immediate family members are permanent or regular employees
of the central, state, or local government, PSUs, or other government bodies.
