The CREOTEC work immersion was a wonderful yet tiring experience for us
senior high school students. Being a work immersion trainee, I was given the
duty to be an employee of the company and have to strive to exceed their
expectations and finish the work given to me on the day. Being a trainee there, I
have learned a lot of skills that have to be known when you work. I considered
each task as a challenge and learned from it to gain the confidence and
adaptability required to be efficient in my work, from day one, being excited
and overwhelmed by what lay ahead. Meanwhile, I realized that what is as
important in school as knowledge is also essential in the work environment:
communication, teamwork, and time management are the most essential things
in work that I have realized.

As part of the work immersion, I was assigned to the Compensation and

Benefits Department where we handle the salaries, bonuses, rewards and
punishments of the other employees. During my time in the CB Department, I
have learned a lot of things considering I am also the assistant team leader of the
department. I have learned how to manage my team while also helping them out
if they ever had any problems. Time management was the most crucial aspect of
being in any department in the work immersion. With only 2 weeks allotted to
us and a lot of tasks being assigned, it is important to ensure that I am using all
of my time wisely and that my work is to be finished with utmost effort. I had a
lot of fun working with my co-members. Being with them gave me the
motivation to continue working even if I didn't feel like working. Being around
a positive environment greatly affects how you perform in work and that was
very evident in my time at CREOTEC with my coworkers.
I'm thankful for the amount of personal growth that I have received throughout
my time in the work immersion. The program may seem exhausting at times,
but the skills and memories gained simply cannot be placed into value. What I
learn in CREOTEC is that real success requires being resilient and keep moving
forward, but most importantly, having the ability to learn from every
experience. With these newfound knowledge, skills and stronger bonds with my
classmates, I can confidently face new challenges at work with greater clarity
and determination. This immersion has really been a formative experience,
showing me the path to becoming a responsible, skilled, and confident
professional. These 3 weeks will not only help me in my future work but also in
my current life as a student to strive to do my best in everything I do.
