ABSTRACT

The last decade has witnessed an increasingly rapid progress in self-driving vehicle technology, mainly
owing to advances in artificial intelligence (AI). The automotive industry, being a highly complex
product with a user-friendly interface, has benefited from the introduction of such technology. Artificial
intelligence can be implemented in the design stage, production, planning, driver assistance, and collision
avoidance systems. The Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the automobile industry has
revolutionized the way vehicles are designed, manufactured, operated, and experienced. This seminar
presents the role of artificial intelligence in automobiles. We begin by presenting AI-based self-driving
architectures, roles, algorithms, benefits, challenges, and prospects. Furthermore, this seminar captures
the role of AI in the automotive industry, such as in autonomous driving, predictive maintenance,
intelligent infotainment systems, and manufacturing and supply chain management. Similarly, it captures
the AI algorithms used in autonomous cars, such as regression, pattern recognition, clustering, and
decision matrix algorithms. The automotive industry has witnessed several benefits including improved
safety, predictive maintenance, autonomous driving, enhanced driver assistance, and cost savings. Despite
these benefits, the challenges of security, data privacy, biometric privacy, and ethical considerations are
concerning in the production of AI-powered cars. In conclusion, the idea of AI-powered vehicles to
enhance driver comfort and safety, sales, marketing, and the future of AI in the automotive industry is
influential. It will play a role in making vehicles smarter, safer, and more efficient
