- to exhibit (v): to show something publicly – triển lãm, trưng bày

e.g. In the summer the academy will exhibit several prints that are rarely seen.
- entrepreneur (n): someone who starts their own business, especially when this involves seeing a new
opportunity – doanh nhân, người khởi nghiệp
e.g. He was one of the entrepreneurs of the 80s who made their money in property.
-to encounter (v): to experience something, especially something unpleasant: trải qua

- be as high as a kite: to behave in a silly or excited way because you have taken drugs or drunk a lot of
alcohol – say
e.g. I tried to talk to her after the party, but she was as high as a kite.
-to get sb’s foot in the door: to enter a business or organization at a low level, but with a chance of

-to resent (v): to feel angry because you have been forced to accept someone or something that you do

e.g. He was sick as a parrot when his team lost the match.
- to go through a rollercoaster of emotions: a situation or experience that alternates between making
you feel excited, or happy and making you feel sad, disappointed, or desperate cảm xúc lẫn lộn
e.g: This trip has been an emotional roller coaster for me.
- concrete (adj): clear and certain, or real and existing in a form that can be seen or felt – cụ thể, chắc

e.g. Police have no concrete evidence linking him to the crime.
- in the final analysis: used when you are talking about what is most important or true in a situation -

e.g. In the final analysis, they chose to stand by their principles and forgo the money.
- to accentuate (v): to emphasize a particular feature of something or to make something more
noticeable – nhấn mạnh, nêu bật
e.g. The new policy only serves to accentuate the inadequacy of help for the homeless.
-to enclose (v): to surround something – vây quanh, rào quanh
e.g. The park that encloses the monument has recently been enlarged.
-to encircle (v): to surround something, forming a circle around it – bao quanh
e.g. Villaverde is one of the high-rise districts that encircle Madrid.
- to be the brains behind st : be the person who thought of and developed a particular plan, system, or

e.g. He was the face of the brand but his sister was the brains behind the operation.
- to step into sb’s shoes: to take someone's place, often by doing the job they have just left – tiếp quản
e.g. Who do you think will step into Sarah's shoes when she goes?
- on (an) impulse: because you suddenly want to, although you haven't planned to – trong cơn bốc đồng
e.g. On an impulse, he went into the florist's and bought a huge bunch of roses.
- swamp sb/sth with sth: to burden or overwhelm someone or something with a large amount of
something
e.g. Angry customers began swamping the customer service department with complaints and threats.
