Advance verb list-

1. **Abscond** - to run away secretly

- The thief absconded with the money.

- The puppy absconded with my shoe while I wasn’t looking.

2. **Acquiesce** - to agree without arguing

- She didn’t want to go but acquiesced to make her friend happy.

- I acquiesced to my mom’s rules, even though I wanted to stay up late.

3. **Admonish** - to warn or scold gently

- My teacher admonished me to pay attention in class.

- Mom admonished us to be careful around the hot stove.

4. **Alleviate** - to make something feel better

- Medicine can help alleviate a headache.

- My friend’s kind words alleviated my worries.

5. **Allude** - to hint at something

- She alluded to a surprise party without saying it directly.

- The movie alludes to the hero’s past without explaining it all.

6. **Amend** - to change for the better

- He amended his story to make it more exciting.

- The teacher amended the rules to make the game fair.

7. **Aspire** - to want to achieve something big

- She aspires to be a doctor one day.

8. **Assuage** - to make a feeling less strong
