For international delegates travelling to Australia, an “Invitation to Register” Letter for inclusion with your
visa application.
On behalf of the Organising Committee for the 5th Conference of Women’s Shelters, we invite you to join
us at the Conference, in Sydney 15 – 18 September 2025.
Now that you have registered to attend the Conference, you can use ‘Registration Successful’ letter as
support for your visa application, if you require one. The Australian Department of Home Affairs has
confirmed that this letter is sufficient to provide with your visa application.
Travelling to Australia and Finding the right visa

eligible to apply for that visa.

You can download the Australian ETA app for free from the App Store (Apple) or Google Play store
(Android).
When should you apply for your visa?
You should apply for a visa at least two and up to four months prior to the intended date of departure, and
four months prior if there are any character or health concerns, or you are from a non-ETA Country.
Processing times may vary. Please ensure you apply early!
To help ensure applications are processed as quickly as possible, submit your application with all
necessary supporting documents.
