Fraction:
A fraction is a part of a whole. The upper part of a fraction
is called numerator and the bottom part is called denominator.

For Example:

Fractions can also be written in division form.

Addition and Subtraction of Fractions:

Note: Same Cases for Both Addition and Subtraction

Case 1: If denominators are same

If the denominators are same just add the numerators.

Example:

Case 2: If denominators are different

If denominators are different then cross multiply and multiply the


denominators with each other.

Example:

Multiplication of Fractions:

To multiply fractions just multiply the numerator with the


numerator and the denominator with the denominator.

Division of Fractions:

To divide a fraction with a fraction or a fraction with a whole number


first you turn the problem into a
multiplication problem by flipping the second fraction (taking the
reciprocal of the second fraction).
