401 non-addressable flame detector

EN 54-10, Ultra-violet flame detector for system applications

Description
The 401 non-addressable ultra-violet flame detectors are suitable
for connection to 2-wire and 4-wire non-addressable fire detection
control and indicating equipment, or to addressable fire detection
control and indicating equipment that can accept non-addressable
type detectors1.
The 401 UV flame detectors are suited to applications where
flames rapidly develop due to the nature of the combustible
materials, such as where petrochemical products are used or
stored.
The 401 UV flame detector provides fire detection and alarm
system designers with a Standards-compliant detector for life
safety and property protection applications.

Note: The response time depends on the flame size and the distance from the detector. The UV flame detector is a line-of-sight device, and cannot see past
obstructions such as storage racks.
