At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:

1.Define pronouns and explain their purpose.

2. Identify personal pronouns and classify them by person, number, gender, and case.

3. Use personal pronouns in sentences correctly.

Ask students:

C. Objective Setting (2 minutes)

Inform students:

"Today, we’ll learn what pronouns are and focus on personal


pronouns: their types, uses, and how to classify them. Are
you ready?"

D. Pre-assessment (3 minutes) Yes Ma’am!

Show sentences with underlined pronouns.

1. He is my friend.

2. They are playing soccer.

3. She loves to read.

4. It is a beautiful day.

5. We are going to the park.

Ask students:

What do these words replace? They replace the noun.

Are they singular or plural? Singular…….

E. Lesson Development (20 minutes) Plural……

1. Explanation and Discussion (10 minutes)

Define pronouns:

 Are words that replace nouns, group of words


functioning as nouns, or other pronouns.

There are seven (7) classes of pronoun:

1. Personal

2. Impersonal

3. Definite

4. Indefinite

5. Relative

6. Reciprocal

7. Interrogative

But for today we will be discussing about Personal


Pronouns and classify them:

Anyone can read the meaning of Personal Pronoun?

Personal Pronoun
 Referring to the speaker, the one addressed and any one
or anything else. Personal pronouns, like nouns, can be
singular or plural. (One student will read the sentence.)

Person:

1st Person (I, we) is used when the subject is the speaker.

Ex. The apple was picked by me.

2nd Person (you) is used when the subject is spoken to.

Ex. Samira will buy coffee for you.

3rd Person (he, she, it, they) is used when the subject is
spoken of.

Ex. Aaron gave him the lapto.

Number: Singular (I, you, he) vs. Plural (we, you, they).

Gender: Masculine (he), Feminine (she), Neuter (it).

Case: Nominative (I, we), Possessive (my, mine), Objective


(me, us).

F. Guided Practice (10 minutes)

Activity: Pronoun Sorting

Distribute flashcards with various personal pronouns.

Ask students to sort them into categories: person, number,


gender, and case.

Discuss answers as a class.

G. . Application and Class Participation (10 minutes)

1. Group Activity

Divide students into groups. Provide each group with


sentences like:

___ love to read books. (I)

Maria and I are going to the mall. ___ will buy snacks. (We)

Groups fill in the blanks with the correct personal pronouns.

2. Sharing and Feedback


Each group shares their answers. Discuss any corrections.

IV. Quick Recap

 What are personal pronouns?

V. Assignment

 Write five sentences using personal pronouns in different cases.

Define and give examples of:

Impersonal: It is raining.

Definite: This, that.

Indefinite: Someone, anybody.

Relative: Who, which.

Reciprocal: Each other, one another.

Interrogative: Who, what.

Examples:
