About the role
Walter's River Cafe' in Bicton, Western Australia is seeking an experienced Chef/ Sous
Chef to join our dynamic team. Day time only.
As a full-time position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high culinary
standards that our customers expect from our award-winning establishment.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes following established recipes and
procedures
Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning and development
Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
Providing excellent customer service and managing kitchen staff
Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the overall success of the
cafe

What we're looking for
Several years of experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a busy restaurant or cafe
environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu design
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the kitchen
and front-of-house teams
A passion for creating high-quality dishes using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
Relevant qualifications in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
