Solve the problem.
1. Victor cut a 2.5-m wire from a 9-m wire to repair the fence. Then he cut
another 4.25 m to make a clothesline. How long was the wire left?

2. Mang Ito gathered fruits from his orchard. He kept 3.05 kg for his
family and distributed the rest to his brothers and sisters. He gave 1.025
kg to Nila, 1.8 kg to Willie, and 1.35 kg to Olan. How many kilograms of
fruit did he gather in all?

3. Jay paid ₱45.95 for a sketchpad and ₱125.55 for a set of pencils. How
much money did he start with, if his change was ₱29.50?

4. Luis has a 32 – square meter of land to plant vegetables. He has already


planted 29.68 squares meters. How many more squares meters of land
does he have to plant vegetables.

5. Maybel donated her profits from selling cookies. Find out how much
money she donated.
Her sales in the morning amounted to ₱238.00. In the afternoon she
counted ₱125.75 more than her sales in the morning. She spent total of
₱270.25 for baking the cookies.
